I watched one of the videos from E3 o6 on Gamespot.com. And there was this guy talking about who races who, what he said was something like, it's Americans who races Americans and European races Europeans... Are there anybody that can confirm that, that's true?

I've always found Europeans to be more friendly and better sports across Xbox Live anyway. Not racist, just telling my opinion.

I agree, not all of them, but some, arent as good players as European people. I dont mind who ever i play, as long as they dont mess around or hit people off the road, otherwise i'll filter them out.
ye i know what you mean but it would be nice to abit of a rivalry with them :atari:
as far as i am aware, yes the USA and EU players will be on seperate servers, though does this mean we cant play with our xbox live freinds if they are in a different area?

...that would suck for me. I have a bunch of poeple on my friend list from UK.
It could possibly remove much of the lag depending on where the servers are. That is the main reason i think but there could be other reasons as well as far as i know.

I'll check that with Atari tomorrow, but from a purely personal point of view I can understand different servers, but I'd find it hard to believe that you could not switch servers. :mefiant:
Anyway, I'll check tomorrow and let you know.

However, the 2 servers are supposed to be connectable so that you can still play people from different parts of the globe.

Yeah im american and I have noticed that a lot of americans are much more rude and have no respect, but some of them are very good to play with. I just played a guy who was from England yesterday, he was very freindly and had good sportsmanship. But it all comes down to who you play with. It just seems the majority of americans are more rude.
OFF TOPIC: while I was playing with the English guy there was a kid who kept asking him "how do you talk like that" :p

there was a chav i played once who was asking if we smoked and what we smoked (if you know what i mean)
CAn someone tell me what a chav is. I have never heard of them before. Are they like gangsters?

I'm living in England but I'm French so i'm definitly not the best one to answer this question.
However I would say that a chav is someone acting like a gangsta and you can recognize one by the way he (or she) is dressed.

^^^, And the way they act. Basically its a social form of Englands present teenagers (basically like how certain kids at school are grungers and that kind of thing). Often wear baseball caps, hoddies, fake or cheap gold rings etc..
Often mixed with thugs or idiots as they dont have a brain to put two and two together.
Or you have what i call 'wannabe chavs', which basically arent chavs, but dress and try to act like them, but really, there not.
Either way, its a bad thing.
But thats not to say everyone in the UK is, because we arent. :)

I'm sure (even though it was a long time ago) that anyone could play anyone, i'll have dig about and see if i can find it i think it was Vibroboy but not sure whether it was in this Forum the US forum or one of the old Project D forums that died
Found the post on the Yank forum (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=512692) the post is by Magicfr another Dev, but it was quite a while ago and we all know there have been a few changes but still...

in one of the recent interviews with ahmend boukelifa, where they discussed the the technical side a bit he said that they did not want to split the community but rather wanted that everyone from around the world could play with everyone else.

We'll definately find out when the next demo comes out, i didn't play anyone from the US on the first demo, but i seem to remember that the 2nd demo is going to act as a kind of server test, so if we can play cross continent on the demo we should be able to do it in the full game
In the U.S. we have wanna be gangsters at our schools, especcialy in California. They all dress and cuss and act like gangsters but they are not.
I would have to say that over half my school is a wanna be gangster but life goes on.

its not like this is much different from europe...ok, at my school, there were only like 10% wannabe gangsters, but thats just because we have different sorts of schools. in the basic one you have about 90% wannabe gangsters, in the more advanced one 50% and in the grammar school only a few thankfully. ;)

Not all African Americans are gangsta. And technically, 95% of those gangsters are American. They were born here, their American regardless of where they're ancestors are from.
You don't see me calling Europeans here, English American or Sweedish American, or even Asians, Japanese American.
That should only apply if you were born in that country and moved here. I don't even see why others around the world call themselves that. They weren't born in Africa or America. And those who are born in Africa, and move to say, Germany should African German.

Well, they can be called either black or American. Getting offended because they're called black is stupid anyways. I've never seen a white guy get mad because he was called white.
For me, I call them black if they call me white.

lol well america invented overblown political correctness, and its gotten worse and worse since it started.
respect is always nice, and should be expected, but pseudotitles and other silliness is sad. how long before us white americans are offended if we are not called euro-americans.
words in all seriousness are overblown, it's actions and deeds that really prove the metal. we get so wrapped up in words over actions anymore, its the epitiome of style over substance.
