Anybody think it would have been a good idea to release a beta disc like Square Enix did for FFXI?

Im just thinking, if theres a glitch that gives you hundreds of thousands of £££, there goes the "Dude! A Saleen just went by me" in the first week

Also, the game is getting alot of negativity about it because of the demo, a beta could have sorted that.

What do you guys think?

I don“t think so... If I played a beta disc, I would be annoyed when I get the real game, because I“d have to start from beginning. I rather start playing the real game when it comes...

So I wouldn“t wanna a betadisc

To my knowledge there has been extencive Beta Testing, just not an open Beta Test like you are sugesting. ;)

We could play FFXI a month before its release VIA beta on the 360

Well I understand where you're coming from. A lot of companies are using open beta testing these days. Especialy online games & MMO.
