Hey guys... what do you think... should there be an SDK (Source Development Kit) for TDU which allows the community to make mods for the game (change sounds of cars for example)... I think if we, as a community show enthusiasm in modding, if an SDK wasn't considered by the Devs before, we might change their mind :)... So what do you think?

I, personally would love an SDK cos it allows the community to come up with new ideas for the game and change minor things to make the game more exciting... Look at Half-Life 2...

Well I NEVER play with mods made by none developers.. Don't trust them..
But I know there are many whom be happy to mod and others who be happy to play mods..
I guess its all about if the developers think there game is perfect or they want to let the community contribute aswell

The car sounds seem already pretty impressive to me :wink2:

But if there are no BMW for example, maybe it would be nice to have some modders add some to the game. But I guess we will already have a lot to do with the "stock" game so I don't really care that much....

Personaly I think it would ruin the MMO element of the game if you allowed for a SDK.
People could make all kinds of cheats that way.

No needs for mods. I just wanna play this game like it is, on my PC. Just need confirmation, demo, full ver., buying and enjoy playing and thats it. No more, no less.

The released SDK would be great IMO!
Its great when you can make mods into your favourite game because it KEEPS THE GAME ALIVE FOR LONG TIME!!
Look at the GTA series. That game was pretty easy to mode and there are still some new cars etc you can add to your game. Its great then becaue you can always try something new, or you can also repair some mistakes in original game like bad sounds etc....sure only if there are some! :P
But its nothing really necessary, I hope that the PC version will be good. With about 100 cars and HUGE island this game doesnt really need SDK to be played more than 1 week after you buy it! :atari: :atari:
Well thats true only if it is without some major bugs etc....but I really trust to guyys from Eden studios that they will make a great game! :respect:

I think modding would be possible, even if SDK wonīt come. But if it comes itīs easier. Hope there comes lotīs of mods.
