Hi!
I live in Germany and I like having imported Games, because of localization and often earlier release dates. What I'm not sure of though is if I would import myself a US Version of TDU if it will work on the european (especially Garman) servers...
Thanks!

localisation?!
there will be a EU version that will be identical with the american version if you start it up in english and the releasedate is about the same in the US and EU.
server wise there shouldn't be any difference.

I was asking myself the same question, but for the PC version since the release date in europe is 1 month later than in the US

the release date for the PC version isn't even known yet.

Well given the dates I saw on amzon.com (24th october) and on amazon.de (30th november).

PC release dates are not confirmed yet as we have not even started Beta Testing yet. As for the server question, there is one central server being used, so no problems there. Howevever, as at most the difference between releases is only likely to be a week, its not worth the trouble of importing.

How can you be sure that the release dates between US and EU will be 1 week at the most? I know they haven't been confirmed yet, but it seems strange to me that websites like amazon already point out that there is a 1 month gap between the two!

There was a three day gap, not even that, between the xbox 360 releases. I am fairly confident there will not be a month long gap between PC releases. The reason Amazon have those dates is because they are guessing, there is no confirmed release date for this title yet.

First off I was only assuming that there would be different dates for the releases in EU and US. Secondly I was talking about the German Version, since I live in Germany... I don't want to have the game in German, so either the UK or the US Version will suffice, just depending on release dates.
Somehow I cannot imagine that the whole online system will be running on ONE server. Imagine millions of X360 and PC gamers playing at once on it at once...

I think that's how it will work... And I hope there will be one central server, better than more servers I think

Yes but XBox Live is the "great and allmighty" Microsoft Empire, they have the money and the power to provide a service like that on one single server. But who knows, maybe there are many servers for that too, but all interlinked? Just thinking out loud...
