The sticker on it clearly says not for resale...
I would rather wait and get a genuine, you couldn't be sure that this is the final version.

I wouldn't buy this, also because the boxart isn't the one it's supposed to be.

They are the ones who advertise wrong...if you find a decent seller its one of the best services on the net i think...

That's not good advice. I sell things on ebay at a number of 3000+ per month. All of my customers are happy. It depends who you are buying off and what you are buying. In the last 2 years I've had 3 negative feedback, 2 of which were a mistake by the same woman and the other was a woman who had some broken items but did not contact me for a replacement. Had she contacted me she would have had a replacement within 2 days and an appology instead of a ban from bidding on my items.
Check the feedback before you buy!!
If something isn't right, contact the seller before you go leaving feedback. If they have high feedback in the 1000's, with a 98-99% pos, they won't risk a neg, they will fix your problem.

I use ebay too. Just check what people say on the seller, if he is serious or not, that sort of stuff. Never had a problem until now.

i have now sent an email, if he could send me a pic of the disc inside the case. well soon find out if its a genuine copy of the game or not and he's a scammer.

If you look closely you can see the pal symbol, unless the American one looks the same as well.

it does its something like
ntsc or something but looks the same as PAL anyway who would be foolish enough to buy that i wouldnt like a big yellow label across the lovely case

As some one who has a promo copy of NBA 2k6 (XCN supplied :D) I can safely say that the shot is of a promo copy, the yellow bar is in the right position and the faded out boxart is standard for a promo copy - the discs are printed in black and white to save costs I would assume, and a manual isn't included either.
Wether he actually has a promo copy or not I don't know, however Quaid said the online mode didn't work in the review copy he had so I have my doubts as to wether the version on eBay will work online or not.

lol that guy is an idiot not only did he probally buy a box he bought it for £30 more than if he had payed if he preordered it.
he didnt buy the box there is a disc inside it the seller sent me some pics of it, so...its a real game but its a promo!!!
These promotional copies are the ones sent out to journalists for free just before the game arrives. They are the full UK game, and just have the altered packaging to hopefully preventing people doing just what this guy has done.
I should have one of these tomorrow, but I can't stand those evil f*****s! who then try and sell them on for a profit. They are the lowest of the low in my opinion.
If I get a free game, I play, I enjoy it, and I keep it. I NEVER sell it on to pay for more games or whatever. Maybe I have higher morals than other games journos, but that's just the way I am.
And yeah, the buyer's a complete tool, because he'll only get the game on either the day before or on the day of release. Muppet!

As for ebay I use it all the time to buy stuff and I always check the seller feedback ratings. If it isn't good I go somewhere else even if it's a little more.

I'm a journo and I am lucky enough to get promo games like this sent from publishers.
It is exactly 100% the same as the copies that will be sold on Friday - fully functional and the online will work fine.
Hopefully my copy will be waiting for me later.
