Seems that a pre order pack has recently become availible in some countries.

It appears what is being offered is a free item ingame (which I don't really care about) and access to the toolset about a month early, which as a custom content builder I would love.
Are there any Atari officials , or mods about who could confirm that:
The toolset for NWN2 will be availible within this pre order pack ?
And if so; will this pack be availible in countries that do not currently have it advertised ?

that preorder-pack is also listed at several other german online-shops, prices varriing from €2,50 up to €10. AdminGER stated, that the expense would "naturally" be refunded when buyin the full version of nwn2 - but other sources contradicted, and the shops keep quiet about that.
anyway, i'd be happy to pay ten euro to get my hands on the toolset right now, as do a lot of pw staffmembers :-)

Hey what about the U.S. ?
in case you didn't notice: all text printed on the (very authentic) dvd-cover is in english, so it looks like an international version, not a germany-only sale. on the other hand it is indeed suspicious that - as far as my search went - no shops outside germany list that preorder-box... then again one german webshop is calling the preorder-pack an US-version.
this gets weirder every time one looks at it ... :-)

True I did notice the package was in english and I did find a place that has it for sale (in I belive England) But they want either Euros or Pounds Sterling. But still What about us Here in the U.S?
meanwhile the first preorder-packs shipped in germany, i'm awaiting mine tomorrow. but i don't know if i'll even open it before the the toolset becomes available at the end of september... :-(

lordsarkhan, this is a UK forum. I refer to the UK product management team, not to the US team, I'm afraid, so I'm not aware of any commercial deals for the US. I'll ask the US Community Manager if he can come here and answer your question.

Thanks tanita, but doesn't help. That main story is talking about the US & Canada. The forums list various EU availabilty, but none so far for the UK.

Due to the total lack of information on any front, I eventually used translation software to order mine via Germany. I have had a dispatch email, so hopfully should be with me early next week.
I know Atari has been having some trouble lately, and frankly with this lack of customer communication I can see why. I do not blame the mods, as they probably know no more than us.

oh, sorry dodger, didn't know if the mentioned shops were us/can only...
lorft, where did you order? i hope you won't have to pay more for delivery to the than for the pack itself... would be a pity, as you really only need that code. perhaps it would be easier, quicker and cheaper to paypal a couple euros to someone in germany, whom you trust to fetch that silly box from mediamarkt oder saturn and send the code to you.
Got mine from amazon.de , there were cheaper places but I trust Amazon and they didn't require I order the full game at the same time (I don’t want a German voiceover game !).
Cost me about 16 euros total , including delivery. I guess part of the point of a pre-order is that I should be able to get a rebate on the full game. Obviously I wont be getting this, since I will be buying the full version from a UK dealer.
Probably we will see the packs in the shop stores at some point, but from what I hear none of the UK retailers have any Idea when that will be (half of them still seem to think the full game is out this month).
For myself though this 'waste' it is worth it. I am happy to just be sure that I will have the toolset and can start tapping away at my new module :)

PS: Ironically, although I was working on the idea long before the pre-order pack was announced, my first planned module uses a German place name in the title :)

hey, that's the spirit! 16€ is about the price you get nwn1 plus both extensions by now on ebay... ;-) but nethertheless i'd also be eager to pay that much just to get my hands on and my nose into the toolset a month earlier.
anyway, don't worry about not getting rebates when buying the full version in the uk - nobody will, not even in germany. at least, noone ever promised it... (well, except AdminGER, moderator at the german atari boards).
