I heard it on the radio this morning, I didn't believe it so I turned on the TV.
It's mighty suspicious i think :hin:

It's on BBC news mate and it's all over sky news, they don't report faulse news of this kind. Their facts may be wrong most of the time but they don't report the death of someone this well known if it isn't true.

The letters RIP scare me. They remind me of horror movies. :noooo:
I was gutted when I heard the news this morning.
Steve was a real hero.
My thoughts go out to his family.

Really really sad about the news...and my heart goes out to his family and his fans...
but it is ironic that his life got ended by a relatively non lethal sea creature...instead of a crocodile or a snake or something that he had been playing with for years...

That is exactly what I thought....
My mum said that he died and I said "What, was he eaten by a Croc or something?"
My deepest regards to his familie, may they prosper and think of him as a great man.
The toxins aren't that lethal but as the article on the news says their barb is. It's like a big knife. If it got him in the leg or even maybe anywhere else apart from the heart he would have been OKish.
I feel for his family and friends too, must be tough. At least they get all the memories of him from the footage that has been shot.

Did they video his death?
Did they video his death?
I would guess so, they were out there filming at the time.

OT stands for Off Topic. You were warned before you clicked the link. Like I said in the other thread, if you don't like it ignore it. You aren't a member of the repost police too are you.

What did you expect? :mefiant:
I'm begging for a ban
my mate texted me to tell me he had died, i thought he was pulling my leg til i saw this thread
it really is a shame for such a brave man who stared death in the face many times and just laughed at it
i really am gona miss his programs, he showed me that if you dont fear them, and if you dont provoke them they will cause you no harm.
i am not gonna look at this like a sad event, im not gonna mourn his death, instead i am going to celebrate his life, and everything that he ever acheived :chapeau:

Thanks steve for all your years of risk taking entertaining action!
Hey guys, i suppose the only lighter note on this is the fact that he died doing what he loved rather than being in a bed with a debilitating illness!!
May he long be remembered!!!

If you are going to play with fire, you are going to get burned. :(
Can't say I didn't see this one coming.
I never much liked his TV show but I had great respect for the man as for what he did for many of the animals in the wild.
For that he will be missed, I'll drink a pint in your honour tonight Stevo!
yeah i heard about this on the radio earlier today, a bloody shame really
