View Full Version : can see loads of people on the map but no-one on the road

i have my map set to show everyone..i see the red markers movivng about and they are all active with names and gamer profiles but they NEVER apear in the road !!!

anyone else getting this problem?? ive yet to see another real player on the road in the 9 hours ive been playing

what the feck is going on?????

please help cos im rapidly getting upset with this "one player game"

no but when i do go to the map i can see loadsa of peole around but when im back on ground level i see no other players if you see what i mean


since lunchtime today i have seen 2 other real people on the road!!!! but the map is showing lots more

i wanted to start a club i have 990.000 to open one with but servers going down ever time i try and get one running

well go to an area of lots and lots of people and just drive around in that area and see if they pop up. I think its just the servers that are messing everyone up.

Excellent :)

Might be best to wait until they are stable before starting getting into the serious stuff, then go from there, I would like to join if there are any places left

yep i know what you mean the servers coming and going,but when there up you cant beat.it i was driving around the map trying to discover all the car dealerships in my ford gto.when i hit this long straight coastal road,i let rip and was doing about 170 mph when i noticed someones gamertag coming towards me.we were both on the proper side of the road but near the middle,when we went flying past each other whith inches between us he/she was driving some ferrari(i didn't get the chance for a proper look)but it made me shout sh#t at the tv and put a big smile on my face,and i knew he/she was doing the same. sometimes it's just good to drive. mdr1

I have this problem everynow and again....sometimes i think the servers just throw a wobbly.

I always see loads of people on the map but when i exit they seem to go.....they seem to appear a couple of minutes later though once i carry on driving.

I'm normally cruising around in an MC12, sometimes something different depending on my mood.

I also experience this, ive got 3 pc's on a network sharing the internet connection and me and my mate were inside a tunnel but we couldnt see each other but if i look at the map, there he is. It seemed to work eventually if I clicked on him to automatically take me to him lots of times.

yea man i have been on the road for like ten hours now and i see only like 2 poeple max around me and i go to my map and it shows thema all everywhere like next to me and then there gonme or it keeps putting me on a server that no one is on at all dark:

I have a feeling that the servers assess the connection quality/ping between yourself and other players in your area to make the decision whether or not to connect you (in order to minimise lag in the sessions).

Therefore if your connection is poor or your service provider have low quality transit across the internet this could be a regular occurrence. Don't take this as gospel, it's just my theory.

yeah i get this too have only seen a few ppl actually on the mapanyways am looking for a club to join add me if u like, it might have been me i sometimes drive a farrari

I've seen quite a lot of people although not the amount that show on the map.
This wouldn't be too bad if I could actually see my friends or club members but often I can't :(
