I payed £50.00 ($90) for this and want to know why I'm having problems.

Why cant I find my friends? Atari BOASTS that you can find your friends by easily clicking on them on the map, but when I do this I dont join them at all!

AND when you actually do get with them, and I do lock with them, if I go to map, do a race, do ANYTHING they disconnect and I have to find them again, and even though I ws locked he just dissapeared too!

AND I cant join his club, I have requested yet he hasnt found the message and we've looked everywere!

AND I cant even buy or trade cars from the BOASTED online trading place in your garage, none of it works!

AND the servers KEEP disconnecting constantly which is also a pain and I keep having to restart.

Now Atari, what on earth is going on? I like answers, how dare you over-charge a broken game?

why did you pay 50 quid for the game the most should be 40 from internet shops or tesco or asda never pay 50

it is a totally new concept of game that only came out on friday and it was obvious there would be some initial problems as it is impossible to test the game with everyones different connections give atari a chance to fix these problems and while you are waiting build up your stats with the single player missions so you are ready to have a good shot at the multiplayer when it is working better.

Also there is no need to go to game i only go in to a game shop for hardware always get my software from the internet or tescos id rather have the 10 quid than giving it to a shop for no real reason to give it to them

I suppose but it's been in the making for a long time and they easily knew there was a problem with the system it's obvious they problem couldnt be bothered to do anything about it. :nono:

Stocko3000, I can only say again what it has been said many times. There are a few glitches that are being investigated and resolved. It's simply a teething process as you'll find with any innovative game, it'll all be sorted out shortly.

just think....

they've tested and tested and tested the game with dozens of people...

then on friday, 100,000s of thousands of people decided to go online at the same time. There is no way this could have been tested and it was obviously gonna lead to some glitches and bugs. Its stupid to think that it wouldn't

give them time.

they are good at sorting stuff out. For example - the demo was fixed within 2 days

Stocko3000, why don't you trade the game back in if you think it's not fun and it's not going to be fixed?

1.) As I said it was awesome untill I tried to join my friend and try online. Now it just sticks in my mind.

2.) Nothing else interests me.

3.) A typical line mods/devs use when they dont want to help.

4.) But thanks for the tip I'll be careful with Atari titles in the future as you've suggested.

Stocko, cool your jets there dude. i think alot of people are having trouble, but it will be fixed, go and find some of the really good bits of road (Atari - there is some totally awesome road!! :D ) then when the online is sorted (which it will be) you'll be able to race your mates on it.

or you could try and buy another game thats attempting to do what TDU is attemptinf to do - thats right there isn't one.

oh and the mods\devs are being helpful IMO.

Easy now...

Whilst I can see why you're annoyed I'd would say you overpaid rather than you were overcharged. Paying £50 for a game is rediculous... I havent paid over £39.99 apart from Dead Rising and that was only because it was the special edition and came with a faceplate. Get yourself to Asda or Tesco. The extra tenner is better in your pocket than in Game's.

Anyway, there's plenty to do in the single player to keep you occupied until the online issues are fixed.

Crikey - and i thought i was a shade annoyed. I understand these things will be fixed shortly - so why bother ranting and raving?

Also note:
You still can go on multiplayer spots and create private sessions (see in options at creation time). Then use the Guide to invite friends in your game session...

After each round the host can switch to another race with the "Y" button... so it can be endless in fact

Haha, touche Luken! :bravo:

I've only been on for a day and the repeated questions are bugging me too!

It's not like anyone is new to the concept of forums these days. People should know better IMO.

Also, the words DEAL WITH IT spring to mind.

I agree that its not right that you cannot play this on-line at the moment, I bought this as it was reviewed well, but the one thing all the reviews agreed on was that without on-line you would be playing half a game. One other point this game is $40 in the US (same price as Table Tennis) and is alot cheaper than most other 360 games. Not sure why it came out as a full price 360 game here in the UK??

True the online basically isn't working but the same thing happened with the demo and they fixed that pretty fast.

Anyway the multiplayer races still work so you can always improvise... there's nothing to stop you getting a group of buddies together, choosing a race with traffic and then ignoring the checkpoints and going for a cruise together.

1) The Drivein are back; limited for the moment to the 100 most populars challenge in progress

2) The servers disconnections shall be resolved ... so you can now use the
Map mode->Players to join your Friends in FreeRide.
