I hate to post short threads, but this is pretty straight forward. I was wondering if there could be a patch released to allow us to cruise with our friends. As of now, although you and your friend are in the same location, or in the same location in a less populated area, connecting is a huge problem. What makes this more difficult is that the 'player select' option works about half of the time. For instance, you'd be able to select a player, then it would ignore the lock on so you'd be unable to. If you do establish a lock and enter the location of the friend you locked, you'd still be unable to see or speak to them (even if you coordinate this process by private chat).

What i'm suggesting is a group entry force where the networking would force a group entry. This meanis that the friend that is 'joining' would be bumped into the chat group if there is space avalible. If there is no space avalible, it would force both of them into a seperate channel thus having the the friend that's being joined, forced out of his full chat group. obviously, there may be issues with this, but in the map mode under the player's tab, there could be an option to allow friends to warp to you or not.

THe clubs can also benifit from the option of being able to 'jump to freeride'. This would be a convient option where selected group members could be automatically arranged into a group when they leave the house.

Example:One member selects the 'jump to freeride' option inside the clubhouse. This member is prompted with a list of the members currently in the clubhouse and by invitation, can allow up to 8 others in the group. After the members being invited accept the invite -
(the member who's inviting still has the list infront of him and can see if the other members have accepted or denied)-
The club lobby fades away as all the members are teleported outside the club house, probably as ghosts to allow them to spread out from the same spawn point.

I believe this would solve the problems many here are having. This as far as I see, is the most common problem (though not as openly addressed). The club prices are right, and to whoever did the programming and networking; an excelent job on not bringing up 'chromhounds' like issues associated with peer to peer networking.

I hope such a patch is released.
