*sigh* it still does that dodgy thing with my friend when we cruise, hes just jumping all over the screen back and fourth, i thought it was just a problem with the demo servers but it looks like ill never get to cruise with him :(

it doesnt make sense how i can cruise easily with peeps in USA but i cant with someone who lives 1 mile away from me.

I have a feeling it may be cos you get put on different servers but they cant connect to each other so you only see people on the servers as you.

I was racing some Welsh dude earlier, was great fun. Still cant see any of my friends though, well I can on the map.

I'm sure the devs dont work 24/7 so give them a chance and all will be good come next week.

its done it every time ive tried to cruise with him which must be like 20 times now, in all the peeps i see its probably done the same thing to one other person, but he says 50% of the peeps that he sees are jumping all over the place. Do u think its his connection ?

I doubt it but you never know.

As I'm sure you know there's some server issues at the moment so it's probably down to that more than anything else.

This sounds like connection issues.. as he is actually connected to the same server but is jumping/lagging arround. There maybe connection traffic on the server your on which may clear up after the servers stop being bad.

From what i understand there are seperate servers for US and Europe so i would guess that connection problems may be the problem.. but dont quote me! tonguegre

The reason that is happening is the host doesn't have a good enough connection to handle the amount of people in the session. Simple as that.

Also the servers are VERY unstable now.

You don't use Atari's servers, you host your own.

is there any way of finding out if u are the host ? cuz there was only 3 people in the session
