In the game it's geared something like a Miata, making it virtually impossible to drive. Chief example: The car bounces off the rev limiter at 39 in first.

It should be able to hit 60 before the limiter. The rest of the gears are similarly short, resulting in wheelspin through fourth. Please fix this.

Whilst I agree, I don't mind. The thing is, if they put the correct gearing on then you'll never need to use 5th or 6th because they'll be such long gears. Also, this game isn't a simulation.

Also, this game isn't a simulation.5th would be your top speed gear and you'd still use it. Right now I don't use first because it's too short, and I'd really prefer to just skip third. The ratios are too close. That's the big problem. While they could easily make it a five speed and leave off sixth altogether without affecting gameplay much, the way they've got the gears staggered sucks. Did they make random changes to the gearing on other cars?

PGR3 isn't a simulation either, but they did manage to get the gear ratios right for the z06.

I have no idea.

But anyway, that's why analog acceleration is so useful...

Use the chronopack to find out what the best starting gear is.... I sometimes use second gear first in the game. but it doesnt really bother me, as i sometimes start in second gear my my real car if im not at an absolute dead stop.... first gear seem a bit rediculous and short sometimes. It would be nice if the gearing was accurate in the game, however....

Iv seen some dodgy things to. My tuned Golf R32 has problems getting to 5th it jumps from 4th to 6th but thats only if it wants to.. also some of the supercars (A Class mainly) have trouble getting out of 1st without a swift tap of the Y button.

that sounds like a controller issue.... i have an r32 and dont have any shifting issues, and never had problems getting my a cars out of first.. maybey the dealer is sluffing off all their lemon cars on you

Well the Z06 gets me from 0-60 in just 3.2 seconds if i start in second but that car is mainly for showing in my opinion

It's the street version of the car that's won the GT1 class at LeMans two years running. It's meant for driving. Can't believe, of all the cars to not check into getting the gearing right on, this would be the one. On that note, the developers for this game are French. I know that no French manufacturer sells in the US (though rumors of Renault returning come up every once in a while) but I'm surprised that there aren't a few of the cooler ones in game just for fun. The Clio V6, for example. Best hot hatch ever.
