ok every one i thought id post this so u can all laugh at me....

i bought my xbox back in january...didnt get a premium got me a core package.. but managed to get the upgrades too and it worked out cheaper so i was over the moon... i bought a wireless controller and installed the standard energizer batteries to which.... died last night lol... either i dont play my xbox enough or there there best batteries :)

also my xbox crashed quite a bit on pg3 (when u press the xbox ring) and on tdu when i got emails... i tried most things to stop it... anyway decided that it may have something to do with the heat in the room.. heating on. over clocked pc on. 2 screens, surround sound all in one corner wasnt very cool.. i bought me a mad catz 4 in 1 charger cooler. 20 squid from pc world.. has 2 fans on the base and to blow air across the xbox. and a spare set of batteries :D have to admit didnt crash once tdu ran 100% fine :)

I can't see the part where I'm supposed to laugh but your post is quite informative. A fan for £20 stops it overheating to the point of crashing then I take it?

worked for me... i dunno if there an option on the xbox to see the system temp tho id love to check as the fans dont seem to move much air when i pout my hand over them

Smee, I have a Nyko Intercooler on the back of mine. Seems to help a lot with system freezes. Only trouble is, TDU does seem to crash a lot on mine yet other games seem fine :/

same here ok i've only been playing altogether on my new xbox about 4 hrs and its crashed a number of times, but only on TDU so if you have a link where we can buy one of these, that would be great! mdr1

I have the same product and besides it verrrrry droning noise it seems to help a little. Just seems that TDU starts to go crazy sometimes after an hour or so..(ie stops loading music/map and you fall of the map then basically crash/freeze)

the cd drive is driving me insane!! sounds like a jumbo jet starting up! whys it so god damn noisy?

could be possable the drive tray mounts have come loose and the disk isnt getting spun around properly. might pay you to contact microsoft tech support
