As the title suggests, which race have you found the most frustrating/difficult so far, for me the masserati trophy has been the biggest pain in my backside.....i would estimate it took me 30 odd attempts, my eyes couldnt keep up with it and the traffic acted so barmy it was unreal :)

the tantalus race. had no problems with the maserat one in a tuned up mc12.
also the triumph time challenge requires you to make a picture perfect run, even on a tuned speed triple.

1. Tantalus - I really can't do this race.
2. Maserati - I rented the MC12 because i really don't like them, and i still not done it.

Maserati trophy.... had to buy the mc12 and tune it, and i still only scraped in a half second under the limit.... this race was the most frusterating of all of them by a long shot. i didnt really have any "problems" whith any of the others... ie i knew where i was loosing time. in the maserati race... one bloody mistake and i was in 5-10 seconds too late (in the rental mc12). i didnt see how even fixing my little mistakes would shave enough time off... completed it on the 3rd attempt in the tuned mc12 at 2:14.32 i think.. and never ever tried it again. i HATED that race.

1. The Triumph Time Challenge.
2. Tantalus.
3. Maserati Trophy.

All 3 are a pain in the behind.

On the triumph one, don't forget to keep the left stick pushed forward to crouch. It really does make a difference to speed for the triumph.

For Tantalus, I found a B class car worked best. I eventually managed it with a tuned Ferrari F430. You need an almost clean run to prevent time penalties when you finish. When I completed it, I had almost 20 seconds to spare.

For Maserati, you need to learn the course and get a clean run to beat the time. Doesn't help that the car handles like a hovercraft!

Tantalus was really boring i dont think another race was that boring

I try a lot of car, finally i did it in the enzo that's the one where im the most comfortable so and same as Jimster i almost did a perfect run i finish it in 7.04 and 5-8 sec of penalties

It's weird everybody here thinks the tantalus one is hard. Cos if i look on my map i see i completed Tantalus but i don't even remember it.. I think i needed only one try to complete it.

Hard one's for me are:

- Maserati trophy
- Hardcore loop >> this one i've tried about 5 times now, don't really wanna do it again atm.

Hardcore loop? where is that? dont remember doing it.

According to my Map I only have a couple of motorbike races/challenges left ...
Also when do the car delivery missions appear? (only done 15/30)
I am on Champ Level, with few unsucessful challenges left? is it on an "unlock certain roads" to unmask the delivery basis?

You generally have to drive past, or near to, a challenge for you to 'discover' it and have it appear on the map.

It's on the eastcoast, and u have to use a C or D class car (don't even remember, lol)

It's quite hard tho, but i'll fix it

Agreed. Finally got gold on these 2 last night after much frustration and cursing.

160 MPH in heavy traffic - I tried it a million times with the max tuned Koeningsegg CCS8 (damn beast) always was short for a few mph. I wanted to finish the speed challenges last night, so I tried the Koeningsegg again, no satisfying result. Then I switched cars to the fully tuned McLaren F1 and finished the race after 2 failures. It was definately the most irritating race until now.

Don't get me wrong but if you have big problem with 160 MPH in heavy traffic
than you will change opinion about most irritating race when you will try Maserati Trophy beleve me.

Maserati Trophy - tried it in an MC12, couldn't do it. Tried it in a Grandsport, finished it with time to spare

1 - Triumph thingy. Tried it probably 7 times b4 i succeeded.
2 - Tantalus. Made it on the 3rd attempt I think.

Maserati trophy wasn't hard at all for me. Did it on the first try with a stage 3 MC12.

the Triumph one was well easy you can jus cut through the middle rather than going right ot the end

Maserati was hard, only because I thought the developers would have enough of a brain to not make the challenge all but impossible with the very fastest Maserati you can get... silly me, eh?

Two that caused a lot of swearing and throwing of controllers was a class E race down that really, really hilly road that then goes through a tunnel (because you had to go flat out, but you get huge air on each hill and are then on an unavoidable collision course with AI traffic); and a class 'B' race on the north-east coast where you race along the coast, then turn around and drive back on yourself along the ridge. I did that in a tuned Gallardo AND a tuned RGT and just could NOT manage it.

A lot of races, especially the speed challenges, I think are based on luck more than skill if there's AI traffic. You might be able to take a perfect line through the bend as there's no traffic, or you might try it and there's two vans there and you don't have a chance and lose too much speed.

I'm also not a fan of the hitchhikers (in particular, the 'Cowabunga, duuuude!' guy outside the airport terminal). Hey, 'BUD', I'm giving YOU a lift out of the goodness of my heart, so DON'T INSIST I DRIVE SO FAST AND THEN GET ALL FUNNY ABOUT IT WHEN I CRASH. Thankfully I did the last of them today. Only about 10 model missions left and then I'm done all the missions and challenges! mdr1

For me, it is definitely some of the Speed and Time challenges.

As was mentioned above, if you hit the traffic wrong, you're screwed. I passed one of the Speed challenges by 1 MPH in a level 3 Saleen S7 TT... or maybe I just suck tonguegre

I'm also glad it wasn't just me who couldn't do the Maseratti challenge easily :)

Only tried the Tantalus once and failed - I think I hit about 50 traffic cars and didn't even get halfway mdr1

Tantalus
Brouche loop (can't spell, the one in the demo)

The loop was odd becouse I drove it so much in the demo but just couldn't do it. Anyway, Ace now, done them all.

I've now done all the missions. I hate the snooty models, the ones who have a specific demand for a specific car, but still say, 'Oh look, a wannabe in a wannabe car!' when you pull up. You drop em off and they make their excuses about rushing off because they don't want to be seen in the one car they're willing to be seen in?

I was actually shouting, 'Yeah, f off out of my car you f'ing b' after one of them, so sick I was of her stupid comments.
