Well when i rang up game stating there website didnt state free car to only preorders so where is my code. its false advertising. But today i woke up and there was my code in an email to put in xbox live. So i now have the op to buy a maclaren F1 LM. true i still need to buy it. but its there. I honestly didnt think i would get one due to the demand. But i got one, thanks Game.co.uk!

To any uk gamer who buys there games over the net or preorder. use game.co.uk. they stood by there word and delivered there promise to me.

Cant wait till trade works. so i can get rid of my F1 GT model so i can save up for the F1 LM model

1) question, when trade gets up and running to the point where we can trade to other players. will it state that the car has had modding and what level of modding? i hope so as this changes the price people will sell there cars at. My F1 GT has been fully modded so i will be selling alittle more then i would a standard. Obviously. but will it state this in the trade function

Ugh, When the trade system is up i'll have to buy one from another player. I would gladly pay 4-5 millions. I need the LM !

you probably wont be able to buy the LM cos you will have to download it onto your xbox which you wont be able to do through the trade

in other words, you cant trade a car you dont have

If i understand you correct your meaning when i put in the code. I will then have it in my garage? not in a show room? so i only get one?

Not sure if this is what your meaning?

Anyway if so, i put in the code and its unlocked the car in the dealership? Im not sure if i can buy more then one as i dont have enough cash to buy one let alone two...lol...but i will let you know if i can. also i got thinking from what you said. If its only unlocked to me. would that make it untradable to someone which hasnt unlocked it? It would be good if those people with codes who were told they would benifit hense get a car others dont have to be able to sell em on to people who didnt get a code. but then a car would become as popular as trackie bottoms and a cap on skinny pale white boy holding a B&H fag on a street corner trying to act hard.

Im in two thoughts on this

By the way, in the showroom the GT f1 and LM f1 are pritty much the same spec from 0-60 and top speed. But the LM has more bhp. Im hoping with a tune stage 3 it will be able to unlock more bhp to the road then the GT.

it wasnt 'game's' fault in the first place, it was TDU all the way. Game was never in question. Marketplace wasnt set up.. and everyone that pre ordered has their codes now.

I have a feeling that the game.net Mclaren F1 is either already on the game disc or comes down you download the free Launch Pack. I say this because the Launch Pack was 20Mb and took around 1 or 2 minutes to download on my connection. However, when I plumbed in my code for the Mclaren F1 and went to download it, it seems to download 'instantly' I.e. it seemed to take no time to download at all - like the download screen was just there to unlock it. In which case you could quite likely trade it with someone else. Time will tell.

Anyone else think this?

when we get to sell our cars will the millage on the cars effect the price? i think my enzo has about 500 miles on it lol

The McLaren F1 LM is an exclusive car for people who preordered from game.co.uk therefore only people who have a code from game.co.uk can buy the car from the McLaren Dealership. This would be the same for the people who have the play.com codes for the exclusive lambo.

The trade system on this game is pointless atm as nothing affects the prices of the cars only the person who is selling them. The person who is selling has to buy the car at dealership price to begin with then can only sell it lower than dealership price otherwise people will save up and buy the car on their own. If mileage affected the cars (ie maybe performance wise) then the cars would change in price depending on how new they are.. but the simple fact is you wont make money in trade, you will just be handing down cars from user to user.

Its a pitty that the trade wasnt better implimented as it could have grown to be a real car market with competitive prices.. but atm its just a swap shop for unsused cars.
