Surely with enough practise you can use RT and get exactly the same result. I used to use the right stick and have practised (a lot) using RT to the stage where I actually find it easier.....

Thats my two penneth anyway (really must get some work done).... :)

For me it was odd aswell I was used to using the buttons, but for this game I switched to the triggers and i must say it feels rather natural now ;)

Think it depends whether you play with auto or manual. I used to always race with manual on many games, but I think it is hard to change gears with buttons when using triggers for accelerate and braking.

When using right analog stick to accelerate you can then change gears with triggers which feels more natural.

In all honesty I prefer auto with this game though.

i prefered auto, as i was used to using the triggers for shifting too... but using controller configuration 4 you can use the bumpers.. i do off-throttle shitfs and use 2 fingers on the downshift brake side... takes a little getting used to, but off throttle shifting makes a negligable difference in acceleration, and when i start a race, i use 2 fingers on the right side and on-throttle shifting, just to make sure i get a good start. Using 2 fingers on the left side took a little more getting used to, but i have the hang of it now. plus its far easier to use the look behnd button located at "y"
