What is the red fog on map?

Hello, I have reached champion status and I now have Red fog on parts of the map, stacks over the city.What does this mean? Cheers.

Clusters of people acing. zoom in a bit and u will see

It was told before, its the density of players in that area.

Thanks. Has it always been there then regardless of rank? I have never noticed it, you can zoom right out so you can see the world as well.

its purple on my game... and its always there, in the same place whether im online or not... i dont think it moves... My guess its its the start of a "Reality Dysfunction" (if anyone gets that, you are automatically awesome )

I'm on expert level and I too can see the fog.
