No, not in the game... it was on the streets of Vegas! (and not on the Strip in case anyone asks) I couldn't believe it but there it was, directly behind me. I moved over and let it pass so I could follow it and hear the four turbochargers and 16 cylinders scream. It was not to be though, as we never got up to more than 30 mph due to traffic. I followed it for about 3 miles but I was already terribly late picking someone up so I had to leave it, but DAMN there it was, in bumper-to-bumper traffic no less. My brother and I were freaking out! Imagine if I slammed into the back of that thing! eekblue:
I noticed the plates on the car were manufacturer's test plates. I wonder what they're testing... I figured they'd work out the bugs before they sold them, but what do I know?
My cell phone just had to be dead too, otherwise I could have taken some super low quality pics, but would have been better than nothing.
I should also mention it was dirty as hell too, I mean it looked like it came straight out of a dust storm. At least wash your 1000 hp car!
PUT THIS CAR IN THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wondered if this was gonna be in the game or in PGR3 as downloadable content?
I hope its gonna be in TDU!!
Need this car in TDU
Then it can be officially the ULTIMATEdriving sim (noticed I didnt say racing) lolblue:
Veyon is too damm sexy!

I'm afraid it'd be the new Saleen though, as all the 12 year olds would be ramming people off the roads with their Veyrons...

I wish the Veyron was in the game, considering VW own Bugatti it would make sense to include it. Perhaps some Bently's too.

i know... this is the perfect game for that car...
I saw it back in August of 2003 at the Monterey Historic races, and had been following its progress since i saw the first pictures a few years earlier. I almost soiled myself! Civillians were not allowed to take pictures though. The best part was, it took 2 laps of Laguna Seca Raceway, (before the aerodynamic issues were sorted) and after the first lap, it spun out coming over the small hill after the start / finish, before the andretti hairpin... doing a full 720 degree rotation, and came to a stop in the dirt on the infield a few meters away from the wall. The driver must have strait pooped his pants! I know i almost did!
magazine print of the spin
http://www.bugattipage.com/newspics/spin.jpg
and the monterey news clipping which i treasure, since i couldnt get a real picture.
and dont get me wrong here.... i absolutly LOVE this car for all it is. Im just glad ill never be one to own it and pick apart its little deficiencies.
this car is an engineering masterpiece you have to see one to appreciate the amount of work that has gone into it and would be amazing if it made it into tdu

Best car that we were behind was a 355. My mum let it in our lane ( she couldn't realise it was a ferrari anyway ) And it put its foot down at the lights, but then there was traffic :noooo:
There's one local to me here in Manchester. Not sure who it belongs to but it has been spotted in the town center being driven by a blond woman. Supposed to belong to a business man as opposed to a Footballer etc. I haven't spotted it yet but it's been on the news and in the paper so I don't doubt its existence.

Yeah there was a pic of her in the paper. I haven't seen it either, I must keep a look out when I'm in Manchester.

It doesn't work like that though.

no.... its a production car... its just had the most horribly long developent time due to the way it was concieved... which was function follows form (not an entirely bad thing in my opinion... there arent any supercars that are just plain elegant like it is)
I believe it started as the Styling, and then someone said, "it needs to look like this, have 16 cylendars, 1001hp and go 250mph" Gordon Murray did a bit about it in some car magazine I have, lambasting the process and the end result, but lauding the styling and the technological powerhorse that it became.

No actually I don't like the front to be honest. I suppose it'd have to grow on me. I really like the back though.
Fugly as sin or not, you have to appreciate it for what it is: the fastest street car in the world. And by the way, you'd still break your neck if you saw it on the street.
I think this car is amazing. I saw it in Berlin back in 2004 when they were taking orders for it.

Not anyone can buy the car though. You have to go through a screening process and once you get it you can only have it serviced by them. Also if you want to sell it they will do the screening process all over again to make sure it is going to someone they approve of. Apparently footballers are not on the list to get one.
Quite strict i think. they should be glad people are willing to spend £1 million on a car.

one thing i did find interesting... i saw a number of different areodynamic tweaks added to it over the years, and the final version ended up looking exacly like the first original concept... loosing the vents on the side, a lip they had on the front, and a different real diffuser i saw on a number of test cars.... does anyone know what they actually ended up doing to fix the areodynamic lift issues? Was it just tweaking the rear wing and underbody that did it?
