never said it wasnt im just looking for peoples opinions on this, the money can be used to buy more houses, cars and bikes
i gotta say i'll agree with you.. although i dont have the game, im sure once i DO get it (no money, spent the last on the Mustang.. :) ) i'll not tune my cars.. exotics aren't supposed to be tuned.. they're "exotic" as is.. no need to buy bodykits, or have a flash blowoff on your ferrari!

Untuned FTW!
Biggest waste of money (unless there's a significant advantage)
Only tuned car is a Stage 2 Maserati MC12, and I bought a Stage 3 Saleen S7, for only £10,000.

Ive finished the SP, only car that was tuned at that point was the Skyline. Since then i have tuned one or two others, but thats purely to compete online, as every other car seems to be tuned.

I have all my cars untunned, then i've bought another one of each car i like, and tunned them. I have 3 F430s, 4 Gallardo Spyders (like the colours), 2 Zonda C12S etc.. One of each is tunned to the max, the others are standard.
Although, i wish you could tuned parts more induvidually, e.g. handling / braking / speed packages, instead of 1 major package, but im not too bothered. :)

i will tune cars, if they need it, as in, the race is car specific, and i simply cant do the race, then i will tune the balls of it
but tuning classics is not acceptible for me, a classic should be remebered how it was, not as something that can outdo an enzo.

Mostley Untuned I like my cars pure.
I've tuned several Muscle Cars though, and one of my Mustangs to Saleen specs.

Ive kept a few of my cars untuned, for fear they will become less enjoyable. (like the miura, which i bought another and left it untuned) they include, F430, 288, and Daytona. All my others are tuned, so i guess i voted for tuned... however they are only tuned to remain competative... maybey when im rich and own a lot of houses, il duplicate all my cars in untuned versions. I think ive bought all the car that i really want anyway.
I've only tuned 3 - My Audi TT so I could easily win the class F races. Tuned a 350Z to stage 3 only to discover I could have saved like £40k and bought the Nismo350Z from the showroom  (exactly the same! duh madred: ) and finally Stage 3 tuned my Lambo Miura and gave it green/red "flip-paint". It's so good for the class G races as I obliterate all others once in second gear! :salut2: So much looosers (AI btw) :salut2:

I tune them weather there's a massive difference or not.
No idea why... just because I can I suppose :mefiant:
Saying that, I didnt like my Noble M14 after tuning. But I lost that whn my save game corrupted. Might take a different approach this time.

If the tuning was a bit more in depth I might be more tempted, as it is I think I've only tuned 3 and will get round to buying vanilla versions of each I'm sure.
I'd rather know it was my driving that got the win rather than a stage 3. Obviously that's single player as almost every seems to stick a S3 in straight after they buy the car.

To be honest, I had no need to tune any of the cars I bought for the races and other competitions. I only really needed to do it for 2 cars, one was the ferrari 575 to win the ferrari only time trial (didn't want to buy another ferrari, so I just tuned it) and a maseratti to win a speed race on a mountain road.
Other than that, the IA isn't really challenging in the races because they brake in every little turn where there is no need to. So once you're first, you usually stay there without any problem. Even for speed races or time trials, stock cars are enough. The best advice to the beginners I can give, is to carefully chose your cars, 'specially in the begining since you won't have too much money. That way, you won't really need to spend money on tuning => you save up and you can buy anything you want quite quickly.
An other reason why tuning in this game is useless (IMO!) is that I don't really feel anything changed on the cars I customize. I mean now I have finished all the challenges, I usually buy cars and tune them (mostly the slow ones like E, F or G cars) for fun but...there is no visual difference and I can't go in one of my garages and have fun by changing gear ratios, car hight and so on...actually this would've been a nice feature when you look at the huge garages you get in the houses, to be able to "work" on your car...
So for me => untuned! ;)
