Twice i have tried to deliver the Pontiac at the top left corner of the map and wen there is 2.2 miles left i hear my disc stop spinning and my machine freezes! :mad: Also on the Lars package mission my machine has froze twice. My machine is brand new as its a replacement for my original one which had a disk drive fault and also it well ventilated and i never have this problem with any other games of which i have a few. WTF is going on and has anyone else had this problem? Ive also had a blade appearing randomly saying the disc is dirty and to remove and clean it, there are no scratches on it!
I have had a freeze(2nd machine brand new) just now by using the electric windows,music still played but it was a no go.
Another odd problem I just visited the "Paint shop" decided not to buy a different colour,BUT my interior has changed colour all red seats,dash,and steering wheel???? odd

oh my god man i have the same problem with the disc stops spinning and then it freezes and also disc dirty
and my solution was get it to repair and get another TDU disc. But the other games works perfectly

Check with microsoft that they haven't sent you reconditioned units as replacements, don't just assume that you're getting brand new units, it's not like they will just bury the 1000's of returned unit in the xbox graveyard.

i did the pontiac one a couple of days ago and i think i was 5 miles away when my whole screen froze and went bright pink! (thats right bright pink) then i turned it off then back on again and i got the 3 red lights of doom got so i went back to gamestation and got it replaced and it works fine for me now! i think my first xbox may of been a reconditioned one, this one just feels alot newer to play if that makes any sense!

I've had the freeze thing once, when i just got a full badge in my Z06, it said clean this disk and all, so i turned off the console and put it back on, worked just fine. No scratch, nothing, weird.. It's my first game so i can't check if this happens to any other games.

Since I made the 20% game progress mark, I have been getting a lot of freezes.
In the GPS map and pause mode, the cd stops spinning and a freeze always occurs within seconds. Sometimes (about every 5 minutes) also during driving.
What can I do? I have played hours without freezing before, warping on the map etc. But suddenly the game freezes constantly in GPS and pause??
I can't even play any further. :(
Maybe I'll exchange my disc at the shop tomorrow.

I'm afraid it is really a hardware problem. Try everything you can to keep your Xbox as cool as you can.
Its nothing to do with hardware i have a coolling stand and nyko intercooler,ALL my games do not crash or freeze and i can play those for hours,just this one randomly.I love the game but some of these bugs....

I think my problem is related to little scratches on my disc. I just noticed them. Heat is not an issue so I think the scratches cause the game to freeze when I want to use certain functions.
you know the 360's that came out first broke and everything well if i got one now would it be good due to improvements or will it be pretty much the same

If it was a bug there would be a precise pattern. Not everybody is experiencing the freeze, the freeze is random and there is a large number of people without any problems. If it were a software bug everybody would get it.

if it freezes for me i just reset,tenebra eekblue: you have a brain omg very intelligent :wink2: :laugh: if it freezes for me i just think i've overloaded it with too much button bashing :laugh:

Had a similar freeze 2 days ago and took my mackine in. MS in Hong Kong simply replaces it immediately no questions asked. The guy at the exchange place said that many users of late had the problem after playing TDU or some Jap Mahjong game. I had a freeze followed by the ring of death.

My freezes have ended (for now) since I replaced my disc.
Guess the old disc was scratched by my 360.
(started after I had left TDU on pause for about an hour).

Yeah, here too.. i left it unattended for about 40 mins while i was gone eating, i started playing again but the disk had stopped running, so i could drive for about two seconds and it said 'please clean the disk' and all. So i turned my 360 off and back on, problem solved, one more freeze yesterday and that's it.
well mine is for maintenence so i hope i donīt get any errors again with the new 360 they will send to me. cause i have changed now TDU disc for about 3 times now dark:
ok i want to keep my 360 cool but can't spend any money.
i have a long coffee table which has 2 little teles,one for PS2 and the the other for xbox,when i get 360 my bro will have PS2 but is it bad to have the 360 between 2 teles like will it over heat, the gap between the teles is the same as a xbox, i could get rid of one tele as i will only have 1 console,what do you recommend
