This is an exclusive guide for Test Drive Unlimited and how to ruin the excellent online experience for as many players as possible:

1.) Immediately go and buy one of the following cars:

Mclaren F1
Ferrari Enzo
Saleen
Koenigsegg

These are the fastest cars in the game, and by buying them you will immediately become one of the best players in the online community.
Forget about braking, and don't worry about crashing. Just hold down the accelerator and you will prove to all others just how great your driving skills are.

2.) Now you have your super-fast car, and you are amungst the best of the best. Its time to do some instant challenges.
Remember nobody can beat you because you are in your super-car.
So make sure you only challenge people in cars of Grade C and below.

*Hot Tips*
Important:
-Never ever challenge anybody who has one of the cars in the list above. Remember, they are great gamers like yourself.
-Never ever challenge a player who has a crown next to their name.
-Drive around downtown (The area where all new players start out)
This area is full of people who have just got the game, and therefore don't quite understand the concept of instant challenges.
Lap it up as you challenge Audi TT after Audi A3 and the fools accept!!!
Prove your elite driving abilites by wiping the floor with these fools.

-If a player continuosly refuses your challenge request, keep challenging them!
In fact, follow them around until they accept, some of these players are obviously too stupid to know the difference between the A and the B buttons.

3) Ok so we've kicked enough *** in instant challenges, and you probably want to chill out.
This game offers you a huge Island to explore and loads of cars to enjoy. But forget all of that, thats boring.
The real fun to be found is in intimidating other online players!

Grab your Mclaren or your Saleen and start cruising for those peasants who are obviously too rubbish at the game to know that you are only a great driver if you are driving a Super-car (see list above).

Find any player driving around in any car that is not Class A, and immediately start harassing them.
Abuse them verbally, and mock them for being so rubbish they have to drive around in a crappy Class B or Class C car.

Make sure you remind them how much better you are than them because of the car you are driving. I mean its not like just anybody can go to a showroom and buy a Super-Car.

4.) Mocking and Abusing fellow gamers is fun for a while, but can become boring if these gamers refuse to talk to you and bow down to your superior driving skills. So now we get to one of my favourites... RAMMING!!!

This is the reason that Test Drive Unlimited was designed. The developers of the game realised that there was a gap in the market for a game where people could take their vehicles to the street and ram them into eachother.
It took years of developing, but finally they managed to create the game for us to enjoy.. "TDU a free-roaming Car Ramming Heaven."

- SImply grab your super-car and ram every single player you come accross. Its great fun!

To truly enjoy the experience you should seek out one specific player and follow them around continously, ramming him and barging him off the road.

***HOT TIP***
For a great gaming experience, try combining RAMMING activities, with Mocking and abusing players. The two really do compliment eachother, and it will give you something to do if none of these amateurs are accepting your challenges.

Feel free to add any tips you guys have for players to ruin your online experience lolblue:

I'm a PC user so I haven't tried the game yet, but this looks like online community should have some kind of online police/moderators who could kick/bann players like ones above from the online part of the game. I would be pissed if somebody would keep bumping into my car. I would find him by his IP adress and then I would go to his home and kick his *** even if the whole trip would cost me 2000 €.

I know this is your 1st post, but to tell the truth i think you have summed up alot which happens in this game, more than 50% of who iv met online challenge me in one of these cars or even better a MV Agusta while im in a slow car that barely tops 150,then mock you for not accepting them.

Only thing u got wrong well about the crown sign players,i have one of those and dont use it as a form of im better than any1,i drive any car i like around infact i dont own any of the above listed cars for the fact they make most of the challenges too easy.

Great list mdr1 pretty much sums all the problem people up really.
Couple you could add though,

All those who challenge you, then quit halfway through the race when they realise you have them beat.

The people who somehow managed to get a top of speed of 500mph or a ridiculous time on a time challenge in one of the drive-in challenges.
This could have been one of the best online features I have ever come accross, but as it stands its just a cheaters paradise and ruins the whole concept.

Don't give up though, there are still a large amount of great players who play this game online. The good are the best and the worst are just like any other online community, if that makes sense.

Nice sarcy post, but for those who don't know how to get away from this torment:

Alright I guess noone knows the easy way to get around this nonsense. Just want to drive around without having these annoying Instant Challenge losers constantly annoying you then

1) Press Start > Options > Online > Remove check next to Accept Instant Challenges.
2) If you have a constant rammmer, press left 3 times > session > isolate session. After about 10 seconds do the same above except it will now say quit and you'll have new people around you.

In the Online options you can also set to only hear people in your group among other things.

Is online still really bad? Haven't been able to play since I had my ride with Jimster, we didn't get any hassling then.

Keep me abreast of any issues, please.

I don't think it's all that bad... only met 1 or 2 people i couldn't stand on Live when free riding

just upsets me that everyone has to drive one of the cars on the list at all times
Mclaren F1
Ferrari Enzo
Saleen
Koenigsegg

Does it Hurt to Be different !!!!

Its not the car that wins races, its the driver, so don't think buying the best cars will make you win everytime.

I personally cruise around in my TVR Tuscan (man I'm loving this car, esp the iridescent paint job) my Lotus Esprit V8 and of course the Jaguar XJ220 - thank you :atari: :) :)

.... as for my online experience, I would have to say on the whole its been good. there are the few ****head's who will go around and generally annoy or ruin the whole experience but then what online game dosen't have them?

My advice? Ignore them and they will just go away.... most idiots will do in life, as well as online :)

i know what you mean everyone drives enzos in PGR2

Lol, completely agree with you.

I'd often be driving around in my CLK55, CLS55, CLK DTM or my DB4, (fave cars) and when i'm in these cars i get challenged constantly by the cars on your list and bikes aswell, and they're those annoying people who cant let it go, even if i say nicely "i'm not racing in this car".

But the thing is, when i'm cruising in my ME412 etc. i rarely get challenged, as for the ramming, anytime that starts i go straight to gps which takes me to a new session and away from the griefers.

Why do so many people want an easy win? Is the idea of good competitve racing lost to alot of online players

i know what you mean everyone drives enzos in PGR2

And F50-GT's in PGR3 :noooo:

a lot off people have fragile egos, and the idea of losing to someone else in this game is something unthinkable to them.

Thats the other thing....
Are they driving With or Without the Driving Aid ???
There should be a way to tell what they are using. :atari:
if you are going to challenge them

A guy i free ride with online uses the in Car Cam ONLY,i'm default (zoomed out)

I like to make the game feel real, driving Aid Off (then some car will just do 360 burnouts for no reason,"Patch Fix on next update" ??)

People with 85%+ game complete shouldn't be using the Driving Aid, but maybe for the Saleen Only becasue that car handles like A$$

Hey, can people who don't own the game yet still download the pack which lets you have the Skyline and RS4?

i had someone who thought i was a n00b when i was in my F1 (they probably didnt notice the crown :p)

they challenged my F1 when they were in a 350z (possibly nismo) of course, they lost horribly, but then, the dude challenged me again, and guess what, lost :p

i usually dont drive the cars on the list. i prefer classics, which is annoying, because i get transformed into a bike magnet :p

Sagaris was my 3 or 4 car I owned
But it drove better for PGR3 then test drive

Make sure u use driving aid,or you will be doing 360 burnouts

:atari: next time we want a bigger map,Fold out (GTA style *) !!!!!

You can buy all cars, except concepts, providing you have the money whenever you want!

I think the Tuscan is $80,000 and the Sagaris $100,000. Don't know about the upgrades though.

Not in top speed, maybe acceleration, but in handling, the Murcielago puts the Enzo to shame, definately my second favourite A class car.
