Oh my god,this is the worst game I ever bought!
I played racing games all my life, expectations for TDU were hi, but what a complete waste of money.
First of all,where is the balance??? Some challenges you can win without even opening your eyes, others are completely down to luck!!
The graphics are horrendous, sound is mediocre at best and NO variation at all, every square inch looks exactly like the next!
The transportation missions are EXTREMELY boring, is like driving in a traffic jam to work, nobody did ever call THAT a game!
And then the fines, 300000 dollar????? Where did that come from?? Is that to make sure you have to do a lot of challenges more then once to keep a littlebit of money left?? What a joke!!
Unfortnately I really cant name one little thing that I like about this game, a complete waste of my money and my time!
I am gonna wait for Forza Motorsport 2 and until that arrives, PGR3 will keep me happy, this game goes out the window!

Funny, i absolutely loved the Vehicle Transport missions, my only problem with them is that there wasnt enough.
As for the rest of your points, good for you, hope you have fun with whatever game you do chose to play instead of TDU :wink2:

Well I for one am no suck up, I am rather pleased with TDU. I was expecting it to be pretty bad, decided to get it anyway and check it out. It's definitely more FUN than PGR3 (In my opinion). PGR3 may or may not LOOK better, but I don't buy my games for looks, I for one buy them for the entertainment, and out of the racing games I have to choose from, TDU is so far the most FUN to play.

If you came looking for an argument to occupy your life with... that is a different story. so go enjoy pgr3!

SHould have played the DEMO sonny this game is COMPLETLY different to Forza and PGR this is a game about driving nice cars. THose are about driving for about 20 mins getting cash an completing races. Test drive has single player only to get you a few cars the real challenge is playing with other people. You cry about the transport missions? How much easier do u want FREE money to be? so they ask you to drive for 2 hours without hurtin your car for like 90k ... free money all the same. All in all You made the wrong choice of racing game better luck in the future!

Graphic's are bad..? Sure, they're arn't like Oblivion, but you try making a massive peice of land with thousand of AI cars. Trust me, it wouldn't be easy.
I've been doing 3d modeling for a good year now, and trust me, if you think anyone can do it. Your sadly mistaken, it is a long time process to get it made because not everything is perfect the first time round.
Either way, the people here at this forum don't want to read your whinging, they want to talk about the game. Go return the game, and don't come back here.
Also, you should have posted this Here (http://forums.eu.atari.com/showthread.php?p=903636#post903636) because that's where the game feedback goes. But, your to stupid to look at the stickie's, arn't you?

Thanks guys you made all my points without me resorting to spending 30 mins typing out a big long reply. PGR3 is boooooring and it takes about 2 hours to complete. Also why did they strip the game down from PGR2. It's like they took a step backwards.

Game is not perfect, but what game is.
Clearly the orginal poster has never driven in real life.. like some people who complain about Traffic/driving gauge etc.
Why didnt you get the demo, wouldnt have wasted your money would you?
Seriously some people have no clue about gaming, coming on here complaining.. when its upto you to evaluate the game before you purchase.
Since Atari were kind enough to offer a demo!

I have read 6-7 reviews on this game, and saw reviews scores off alot, and every one is either a 8 , 9 , 10 out of 10, (or 5/5 tonguegre ) please find this review which says its a waste of money?

I found this game to be great to start off with, but since I've completed it (yeah, 3 days and I've completed it) I've had some trouble logging onto Live, so I've been quite bored with it.
Other then that, great game.

I'm going to love Bad Company.
I loved in BF2:MC on one of the desert levels (haven't played in a while... so wouldn't know the name) how when you placed c4 next to a tent, the whole tent came down and crashed on the enemy. Sooo funny.

$60 is nothing in the uk we pay the equivelant of about $100 for TDU and sure there are a few glitches at the moment but nothing i wouldnt buy the game because ov :atari: 10sur10

What are you talking about? 82 across all worldwide reviews is not bad, not to mention the 8.6 user score.
TDU is probably the greatest achievement in racing games since Pole Position. In my opinion (and that's all it is) it pwnz PGR3 hard. I played PGR3 for half the playtime I've already put into TDU, and I don't plan on stopping TDU anytime soon.

i say that if you think a $300,000 fine is bad then i suggest that you go out, completely wreck 30+ traffic cars, 100+ signs endanger the public and evade the police.im sure you would be happy with a $300,000 fine at the end of it, rather than 20 years in the slammer and a permanent driving ban.
BTW, if you do this, and ofcourse, get thrown into jail, then be very careful if craigie tells you that you have dropped the soap whilst you're in the shower :nuts:

I just really hate it when people make so many negative comments on this game. I just hate it that they don't see how much work and effort has gone into it! Yes it might have been delayed, but it was for a damn good reason, to try and make the game the best it can be and i can see a lot more games are going to be like this in the near future.

TDU is awesome, and i really don't like racing games. Its fun to mow over people in Free Ride, and then to kick their butts racing in an instant challenge. that's saying something, at least to people who know me better. XD
