Don't do this (like I did at the weekend).

After getting annoyed at the measly amount of road I'd covered....(54%), I decided to do it all in one go....

.....

........

...........

9 hours later and much much much map viewing and clicking and driving 2 feet to look at the map again....and again....and again..

100% coverage.

Don't try this at home kids, it will mash your brain. Concentrate on doing the missions and finish the road off when you've done them all.

If you don't you'll be sat staring at your screen for that tiny piece of 12ft long road thats stopping you get the 100%er. It took me 20 minutes staring at the bl**dy map to find it - right next to one of the tunnels that not even a spy satellite could've found! - grrr.

On a lighter note. Got a nice HUUUGEEEE house to show for it (great weirdblue ).

yeah it's a bit mind numbing doing it this way, but i think it's the only way you can really do it, it would takes months to go on every bit of road if you were just driving around, what i reckon they should have done is made it so that by completing every mission in single player you'd cover every road.

But making all the roads available through doing the SP missions, would take the work out of it I guess, maybe 60% through SP would have been a help, but my god I'm suffering this morning. Better to get it out of the way though. :)

I don't mind doing this. I just choose an area and spend a few hours getting it all done then switch to something else. A bit each day and soon be done.

One way to make it a bit easier is to get the longest roads out of the way first and they can be great to just have a drive on. Also take a different car each time, I even switch classes as often as I can so I get the feel of as many cars as I can. I also love the scenery. :turning:

It's a gmes of driving and testing cars so take advantage of this when doing the not so exciting bits. :)

yeh... i didnt doo it in one fell swoop... but i was pleased that the game does do a bit of "fill in" i was on my last few miles... driving down in the docks area... and i KNEW i had 2 freeway onramps to drive to the east... and i recall seeing a few onramps that I had to drive the last few feet of to get that little snicket of blue... and i was DREADING searching for that one little tiny bit of road I missed.... when all of a sudden it gave me the acheivment. Thank goodness!

I got this achievement yesterday. Did it in 2 sessions though, about 4 hours on Saturday (55% to 75%) and 4 hours on Sunday (75% to 100%). Put nearly 1000 miles on my MV Agusta now.

It does get a little boring just driving up and down the motorways trying to unlock the roads.

I had about 20 miles of road left to drive over and the game just suddenly popped up the achievment and said I had done it all and it filled in all that I had not done. Yeah, I was on the road after just leaving an off ramp.

I just sat there for a few seconds trying to figure out why, then thought, cool!!!

So it just seems that as long as your on the last road it will finish it for you but if it's an on/off ramp that you missed you could spend some time looking for it.

oh no!! NO! not the headaches.. nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :noooo: Took me a week and a half of doing it for an hour and saying "screw it" to finally get it. Little word of advice to those attempting it: Don't leave the highways and intersections for last... that sucked....
