My code won't work

this is getting really annoying now, i've tried about 10 times

every time i type in my code it keeps saying:
Authentication error. Please check the information you entered.

probably because i can't tell if 1 of the letters is a number, an L or an I because it just looks like l

does all the 11 charactors haveto be in lower case and do you haveto have the dashes inbetween each set of charactors in the 3 sets

Experiencing this same damn annoying trouble myself, though the main presell page still is dropping me to the broken counter page. Hope the one I'm trying to enter it on isn't some phishing website duping the Atari name to get preorder code keys.

alot of people on the bioware forums are downloading illegally, i logged into it to see if what people said on those forums was true, as soon as i found it was true i closed that internet window because i would never do anything illegal or against a company no matter how far they push me.

i hope they ban all the ip's of those people downloading illegally and send all of us pre-order people a direct link to the finished Toolset File.

The only people actually right now _not_ getting the toolset are the people who paid for it and stick to the instructions.

And, before that stupid point comes up again: No, it wasn't free. I paid 10 Euros to get it. Paid, no refund.

It's available for download right now as the direct ftp username and password was published on the Bioware forums earlier tonight. This means ANYONE was able to download the files.

Those of us who have purchased the preorder box, waited patiently and not spammed either this forum or the Bioware ones - are still waiting while those who yell, scream and kick are downloading the toolset - and no guarantee that they are meant to be.

On the plus side - people are starting to post screen shots, and she looks a beaut.

Illegal? That's uncertain. Keep in mind that the script at http://www.atari.com/nwn2/presell/preorder/UK/download.php points straight at that FTP site. So, if you paid for the preorder, you have IMO the right do download the file today (well, yesterday..it is past midnight now), as Atari had promised.

If you want to wait until they fix the errors in the script, expect to wait until Monday evening GMT, and then you will simply be directed to that same site.

Well, the code will presumably be required to download the "Merchant's friend", so it is not utterly useless.

Anyhow - my download went through without a hitch...installing right now.

Yep, I get the same error with the code. This is pretty lousy work from Atari. I used to play Guild Wars and those guys were bloody brilliant at keeping the community up to date about things, even at 4am in the morning. It's already 10:30 GMT Monday and nothing has been done, not even a simple message to apologise that things aren't going to plan. Poor.

You'll note at the bottom: "If you have any problems downloading please contact atari support here"

This of course, isn't on the UK version of the form that I've been trying out. Again, good work Atari, nice to see you care about your customers.

When it rains it pours. Let's start off with saying this whole toolset download while well intentioned has been nothing short of a very problematic, frustrating, nightmare. I've been trying to get a full handle on everything all day, and as I don’t want to post snippets here and there what I’ve found out is that all parties have been working to get this out all weekend. Everyone at Obsidian, and Atari and doing all they can to get the toolset released and the problem fixed. I just got off the phone with Atari and without going into excessive detail most of the problems are all of a technical nature. The toolset is done. It's been submitted to Atari. Everyone that I know of has been doing what they can to contact the appropriate parties to get the situation resolved ASAP.

One major problem is that the download, the website, etc (which are all tied together) is that this is a Sunday and getting in touch with some of the tech companies who are critical to getting this problem resolved has simply not been possible. And trust me when I say people have been on the phone all day trying.

I know we can only apologize for this so many times before its just completely pointless. This has been a nightmare for everyone. Was it well intended? yes. Honestly, we really thought it would be something cool and different for people. Especially for the PW groups and hardcore mod teams who wanted to get a little head start. But regardless of what was intended it's just been a repeated disaster.

Atari knows this, Obsidian knows it, and everyone involved knows how much of a problem it’s turned out to be. We're not asking you not to be angry, or frustrated, or even vocal about your displeasure. What I am asking is everyone temper your anger just a touch and let us try and get this fixed ASAP.

Please stop trying to link to the European FTP, and please stop posting links to that site. It is not making matters better. According to Atari this problem should be fixed no later than mid day tomorrow. "knock on wood" Until we are able to get in touch with the required parties first thing Monday morning we're going ask everyone to just sit tight a little while longer.

I know this is not what everyone wanted to hear but it’s as straightforward and upfront as I can be right now given the information at hand.

Anyway, just out of curiosity I looked for this presumed link... all I found was to a BETA fpt-site (not giving the link). So everyone who's getting it is likely getting the BETA, which still has bugs in it (and because they needed another week they likely aren't too few bugs).

Only better for those of us wanting to wait for the official. Ofcourse downloading from there will only slow them down to make the correct files available (too much trafic on the network).

I'm not very annoyed now, but wait until there's another delay for the actual game, and I might throw that at those thinking they need to download this now.

I'd rather have a few days of toying with the toolset less as long as I can get the game on the 3rd of November.

i have all the files now, the last file (no:9) is the smallest at 215mb
i can't wait to start testing this beuty mdr1 cyu later all, i'll give updates on what it is like if somebody doesn't do so before me
