Sorry to post on this subject which has been repeated over and over.

I have read through fourums at bioware and here and am seeing so much conflicting information I really am confused.

I am getting an authentication error on the uk site, I'm positive that I'm typing the right code it has no 0 or O to confuse things. It is a the code from the box Game are selling for £1.99 (I pre-ordered from Play duh!).

Please can anyone summarise the situation.

Many Thanks

the problem with summing up the situation is that it's changing all the time :)

Please don't try the download in Europe until you see an official announcement somewhere either from Atari, an Atari official (Baker in the US) or myself (my announcements will always bear a stamp of approval). To the best of my knowledge the download is not on yet. The available download shouldn't be accessible and it's only a beta version, as Tanita rightly said. Please don't be tempted and stay away from it. (http://forums.eu.atari.com/showthread.php?p=912215#post912215)
please trust in tenebra and wait until word's out. i know, it's hard...

Many thanks for that. I had read that statement before but there so many conflicting posts I was unsure whether that was still current. Thank you for cutting through all of the fog. :bravo:

Uhm.. still wiating for Tenebra's okay, but well one question before allowed:

I read right that everyone is getting the english language toolset right?
(I am asking, cause since the text of teh german login site is still french and before I download a toolset I won't understand I'm asking *smiles*)

It doesn't matter that you don't understand because without any manual in any language you won't be able to use the toolset anyhow.
Maybe just try to get a refund.

yes and no. at biowares forum there are americans fussing about their toolset being partly german, just because their windows' regional setting is "german". obviously it's sort of an international release, at least some menus and dialogboxes refer to your regional settings in windows.

Getting a headache for finding the same things in nearly all threads, can't we try to limit the number of them and use existing ones if what you want to post fall under that topic? ... Speaking of which, some topics aren't too clear on what the topic is, but I suppose that will always happen on every forum.

I hope people all over the world can choose english versions one day, I know people (even french ones) get frustrated by buggilly translated versions. I would've made everything that was given out in a different language have the option of being installed in the original one, that would cause much less frustrations (with different patch releases like with NwN this really caused problems). I know I'm not alone there, but not everyone needs to feel the same.

Maybe just try to get a refund.what are you talking about? there is (english) documentation in the documents folder, even in the so-called "beta resell toolset" (reference: bioware forum (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=500295&forum=100)).

Well taht calms me down :salut2:
Thanks for answer, was afraid of downloading hours for a french-language toolset which I cannot understand, hehe.

About no manual: Well.. I love to test out things and the scripting is not my part anyways *smiles* So just looking through everything (NWN1 had no real Toolset manual, too *nods*)
*looks at tanita* Uhm... okay... so I best look through all folders then *smiles* Will test things anyways

@Dazzy:
Well I had up to now 1 game wher you could chose alot of languages, yep that's very good though I think the mayor problem is here really the size since at the point 2 language versions would need more DVDs it would mean they either would take more money or they would not do it cause tehy would pay extra then (even 1 DVD per game'package more makes some millions to be made and paid for making *nods*)

Hmm... having tried both, I have to say the "illegal" toolset and the new one looks and operates, as far as I can tell, exactly the same, with the same bugs and perks. I think it's fair to say that even if there indeed is a difference between the two, you have lost nothing whatsoever on not preordering, as far as the toolset is concerned.

oh no, you have! we had a really funny time waiting for the toolset, anyone not preordering should be sad to have missed it.

it has been, and as you are in the uk forums you could have expected that tenebra's speaking for the uk, not the us. :)

[edit]ahm... it's not fine to _totally_ change postings after posting, rendering followups useless.

Appologies, I won't do it again. :)
