I tried installing and got a notification saying that I had an 64-bit system, then the installer exited... :noooo:
Patch?
I have 64bit system allso and it works OK. So can you give more details?
I mean, if you have 64bit linux I bet it do not work. But atleast I personally know that Windows XP 64bit + AMD 64bit processor it works like a charm.
perhaps there are problems with your graphics card, some 64-bit drivers are still faulty. i also experience no problems with xp-64 and amd64x2.
please state what OS, cpu and graphicscard you own, that might help. and it'd also help to know _how_ the toolset crashes, e.g. are there any error messages?

Well... My computer is pretty standard, I doubt it's a hardware issue..
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core prossesor 3800+ 2.01 GHz
Standard 2gb ram
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GS
Os: Xp 64-bit
Oh, i tried running the install again.
Title on the window: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Setup
"Error: Cannot install on a 64 - bit operating
system"
"This product is not supported on a 64-bit operating system. Setup will now exit."
So it's not the actual toolset installation which bugs, but the installation afterwards. Suggestions on what I should do?
well, there you go:
get the 64-bit version of .net, either take from install folders or go to microsofts homepage and download latest version. that will almost definitly do the trick!
(ah, and remember: error messages are there for a purpose...!)

Ok.. There. Went and installed the .NET 2.0 frameworks for x64.
Now I got a different error. :S
EventType : clr20r3 P1 : nwn2toolsetlauncher.exe P2 : 0.0.0.0
P3 : 4519b7d8 P4 : nwn2toolset P5 : 1.0.780.0 P6 : 4519b879
P7 : 32ef P8 : 1b P9 : system.typeloadexception
How can I take the 2.0 framework installer out of the toolset installer? I dunno if it will help doing it and reinstalling the toolset though.
first try uninstalling _all_ dotnet components.
then install only 64-bit dotnet framework, do it manually.
now try to install the toolset again, if it still complains delete all dotnet files in the toolsets install-folder.
if you _still_ can't get it to work... well, then i'm of no help either.
good night & good luck!

Hehe, ok. :)
Tnx for the help anyways. :respect:
edit: Success! :chapeau:
I just uninstalled the toolset and tried reinstalling. And since I already had installed the .net 2.0 frameworks it didn't error. After that it launched perfectly!
Now I just have to learn how to make things in this program. :mefiant:
