Mercedes Gullwing mission

Ok, I just need to get this out. The Gullwing transport mission sucks, i never got of the road, never hit a car and still i ended up losing about $600 so i can't get a perfect mission. I know this has been posted before but i really hate it :noooo:

Did anyone manage to get a perfect one on this?

after much anger and frusteration i did.... i kept pulling back into my lane and clipping cars with my tail, because that thing is so bleedin slow. but yes.... it is possible.

I was constantly going 20-30mph and still i took away my money. grr...

Well, I got to the end of this and was totally puzzled why I never got perfect and realised it had taken $1000 off me, did not recall hitting anything or going off the road.

Too late now as I cant re-do the mission sour:

i got so far then i went over a jump in the road to fast (somehow) and flew into another car

My friend was round my house and he did this mission. I wasn't aware that there was any problems and he didn't have any. He got me a perfect bonus and i kept telling him to slow down cos he was going really fast.

i have stopped doing them perfect now as they dont give you any rewards for doing them all perfect and i can get the money just as quick

This is a pain in the bum. I left it, its TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO slow! i saw the finish, then i lagged onto the grass :mad: :mad: ah . :noooo:

dont see the problem i scored x30 perfect delivery miisions, nothing stands out about the gullwing one at all.

the problem must be somewhere between the driver and the gamepad :o)

yeah, I too got perfect on this one. It was so boring, I almost feel asleep at the pad...

Eagle_Legend, i had a similar problem and i put it down to going to fast in the hills where its bumpy.

also it seems that in any challenge/mission with a driving meter, small touches and small offs sometimes dont register on the meter but if you listen close enough you can still hear the sound of the meter going down, even though it doesnt look like it is.

O RLY? How can someone not drive slow enough and not stay on the road? It's just a glitch man, you go over a bump (when nothing is supposed to happen, cos ur still on the road right) and it takes away your money. In the Pagani mission, i jumped the first hill about 2 metres in the air, nothing happened i still got a perfect one, so i don't get the problem with the Gullwing one.

Managed perfect without any problems. Even had the classical music on the radio to add to the effect, lol :laugh:

I did this thing 7 times. The first three I didn't even register much untill I was closing in on the finish line. I'd just assumed, that had skidded off. Tried another couple of times and made sure, that I wasn't skidding off, but still had the problem.

Sixth time I drove it at 30ish mph all the way through, untill I got to the hairpins somewhere midways through. It's a downwards hill with a hairpin left further downhill and then a hairpin right (Though I might be wrong.).

I noticed that I would loose a small amount in the hairpins and if you get in too narrow in the turns, the cars underbottom will scrape against the road and I do think the game then assumes it to be off track. Or if I am selling the game short, it is causing damage to the bottom of the car subtracting points.

I tested it a few more times, having given up trying to get it on that try I found that taking the turns wide and driving extremely slow (Less than 10 mph) you can manage to get through it without getting damage.

I travelled at 20mph with the traffic and it still took away about a thousand? I couldn't be arsed to start again so I left it. AFAIK i didn't do anything wrong.

I have to be honest, a few of the missions i redone as i got money off a bit. But most i done 1st time around (i've done about 20/30 of them). And most of them i dont drive slow, just cautionsly and i dont redline it that often. On the McLaren F1 i averaged about 120mph, hitting 170mph on the straights. =D

I think thus is like real life, if you're rear ended its the other drivers fault...I assume you checked "protect your no claims bonus" in the options? tonguegre
