It would be nice if people would stop cheating on the challenges and make them so that people can actually complete them!, or the people with cheat codes set unrealistic times no-one can possibly beat! It makes completing the achievements near impossible! :nono:

madred: sour: i hate going on a race where your best time is like 1 minute and you lose by 55 seconds
cheating is for losers you can't win the real way!
i done a diner challenge yesturday where it was limited to the Jag XJ220 and i played it about 15 times at £1,000 at time to set my best possible time, beating my own time as well. I think i won that challenge tho :) :) :) i was well chuffed
on the 180 mph in heavy traffic the top score is 557 mph in a saleen, that is impossible,i i also hate it in speed challanges when your like 5 mph off the top score and you think you can do it but you never can

i know what you mean
I never cheat in games, wants the point in playing if your going to cheat, games are supposed to be fun and challenging at the same time. You'll never be good at a game by cheating your way through.
I hate the multiplayer race as well when people take you out on purpose, i've been so frustrated with that, i now create my own races and turn player on player collisions off.

i there was a cheat code so that my car could fly, i would use it, because it would be fun. if there was a cheat that allowed me to drive AI traffic cars, i would use it, because it would be fun. if there was a cheat so you could be the police, i would use it, because it would be fun. but a cheat so i can set a rediculous time and rip people off. no way.
I think there's definitely something fishy going on. A good remedy would be the ability to watch the replay of the winning time (a la Project Gotham) so that you can see exactly how it was fudged.
I uploaded a challenge in the diner yesterday and whaddayaknow 5 mins from it ending, someone managed to beat the time by 4 seconds. Not a great margin, I know, but having created it, I know it was impossible to beat the time by that much because the car and the track was restricted.
Obviously the 550mph times are a joke, but there may also be some subtle cheaters out there.
Replay option please Atari, especially for the people who set up the challenges.
It would be good to see some info about your challenge like how many has entered, current leader and why don't you get the money from the entries but only 10% of the winning fee? Where does all that entry money go ?

i think the replay option is a great idea... but not too sure that is something they can easily add to the game, not to mention, then i think its likely to cause more people to cheat, because more people will know how to get the hot time, and more people will try to do it the cheap way... i think a user rating would be a good idea (ie a 5 star rating by users who try a challenge in the drive-in.... nobody would give a stupid cheated race a 5 star rating), but is also probably hard to add to the game. the best tool i can think of, that is already implemented into the game, is the driving meter, and to make it mandatory for all races in the drive-in... The only gripe i have is just how its implemented. For example... dabbing your tires in the dirt on the inside of a corner is not cheating if you ask me... but do it 3 or 4 times, and suddenly you have a 10 second penalty... and in most cases is going to cost you a few 10ths anyway. i think the best way would be to somehow implement a driving meter of sorts that automatically disqualifies for spending 2 or more CONTINUOUS seconds in the dirt. unless you crash, there isnt really any reason you should spend that much time in the dirt. unless you are finding yourself a little offroad path across a hairpin. but again... i think that it would adversly affect the gameplay for people who dont cheat. but perhaps less so than a diner deluged with unplayable races.... Im interested in what solution atari will come up with, and what sociologist came up with it.
I hate cheater's and IMO action should be taken to have these players banned from their xbox live subscription for 1 month because at the moment there isn't any deterrent to stop them cheating.
I would like to add however that don't just assume everyone is a cheater because they are 5 seconds or 20pmh faster than you. As an example recently I went back to the single player Speed challenges to improve my leaderboard positions and after a few hours of practice I managed to get a quiet a few No1 position's. This was done by working out exactly which camera to do first and more importantly which gear to use. A very good example is using the Saleen because I have found if you put the gear into 4th and then drop it into 3rd just before the announcer says go you accelerate much quicker of the line and then instead of changing from 3rd to 4th just go straight to 5th once you are moving. Another good example is a diner challenge the other day, now you only had 10seconds to go past the speed camera so obviously their isn't time to get a run up. So what I did was put the car into Reverse and then quickly held down the handbrake whilst upshifting to 3rd and this enabled me to fly off the line without the car stuttering thus getting a much quicker speed through the camera. Now the point im making is that this isn't cheating and is basically down to spending hrs of practice but to someone who doesn't know how to do the above they would assume you were!.
So obviously those who do 550mph are cheater's but don't accuse those who have spent hrs on mastering this game.

I won a challenge in a diner last week, but the system glitched for me. Basically, it was a mercedes challenge and I accidently entered with a Saleen. It was 1 checkpoint and when my friend tried the same challenge, it wouldn't let him enter only with a Merc, and there were 4 or 5 checkpoints!!!!!! My time was 4.5 seconds or something but that can't be right cos the race should have been 4 or 5 checkpoints!! Don't know how it happened!
A high speed or race challenge based on driver ability gives others a fair go at beating it. Those people setting challenges with speeds based on the fact that they can get their cars to do 511mph(as i saw on a speed challenge)are a waste of time and the people that set them are pathetic.
This happend with early online Halo. Bungie took along time to get rid of the cheaters....

Hi,
This is my first post, I normally just lurk as I don’t want to get into any flame wars. Something that is easily done as text can be read completely differently from the way it was intended, Ironic then that I should pick this post to reply to. I am currently fourth in the 180 mph in heavy traffic challenge. I managed this in my tuned Enzo which isn’t capable of the 300mph speed set on the challenge. I didn’t intend to get this speed in fact it was probably the worst attempt at this challenge I have ever made. I was trying to change channels on the radio and crashed twice, after the second crash the end race button appeared and I pressed it without even looking at the speed. I’m happy if for the speed to be removed from the records I would prefer it if I knew what my real record is. I just wanted you all to know that some of us haven’t cheated and there appears to be some kind of glitch in the game. Hopefully this will be addressed in the upcoming patch from Atari/Eden.
P.S. A big thank you to Atrai/Eden for the game I’ve been waiting for all my life

I managed the achievement by accident. Created a couple of doable challenges, but nobody attempted them so I got credited with the win! weirdblue
That's a loophole that could do with fixing.
