If you think we should all get the same cars as pre order customers then sign this partition with your gamertag- hopefully we get some cars like Zonda Roadsters and Spyker Spyder convertibles!
If it wasnt to us loyal customers Atari could of gone bancrupt!

Here goes-

erm, the pre-order cars were a reward for people who pre-ordered the game.

If you didn't pre-order, why should you get the cars?

There will be other cars coming out, it's not worth worrying about.

Actually, I don't think so. I think you have to download it before you can buy it on E-trade...

Me and my brother pre-ordered from GAME and neither of us got given a code and in our rush to play we forgot ask!
I think if you have paid for a game you should be entitled to full functionality, if you pre-ordered or not! In my opinion all the cars should be available to everyone regardless. If you want to reward for pre-ordering go back to stickers, keyrings & t-shirts, when you buy a game you should be entitled to all of it! :nono:

If you didn't pre-order, why should you get the cars?

It was also possible to preorder from stores that didn't offer any free downloads, such as Gameplay. Please check your facts.

I ordered from Gameplay due to past experiences with other retailers, knowing I wouldn't get any free cars.

I didn't pre order and therfore don't have the exclusive cars. Still I think it's a great way to reward the ones who pre-order.

I did pre-order from amazon. Didint get anything.
The other aspect here is, that the cars only work in USA. Now is that fair?

I just hope the cars comes out later...ill b happy 2 pay for 'em!

I'm confused. Do you mean the referral codes? That's a completely separate promotion. Atari Europe and Atari US are separate companies and do promotions independently from each other.

You can get the Gallardo or the Mclaren F1 LM from the UK.

I haven't been hostile, I was just replying to "If you didn't pre-order, why should you get the cars?". If anything's hostile that statement is...

I think you'll find I haven't complained about a lack of free downloads.

tenebra_uk

Paven, but the reply wasn't directed to you, it was directed to people who complain that they don't have the cars that were linked to specific promotions. Now, to me it seems a bit excessive that a company isn't even free to run a promotion anymore.

paven

...and my reply was pointing out that it was possible to preorder without receiving any free gifts.

I fear you prejudge me.

I'd have loved a free car or two but I didn't order from Game or Play or live in the US for a referral code...but am I bothered? Face! Bothered!

I got a Gallardo-code from a friend who didnt want the car. It didnt work i Norway.

I dont think it is hostility (maybe some here and there  ) Atari can do whatever they want, but it seems there are quite a lot of people out there who unhappy about the pre-order promotions. Atari should listen to that.
I think its a perfectly allright way to do it, BUT the cars should not be held back from other players who have payed just as much (and in some cases alot more) to play the game. The way to do it would be to release the cars as DLC later for some fee. That would still give the pre-order promotion some weight and it would satisfy most others - now it might be the way it will be done, but for now i do not know.
Last i cannot understand why Atari would not want to release these cars later and make some eksta money on them. It would be kind of stupid (no offence!) to just let them go, now they are made and allready in game.

I hope you can understand this point of view. Im not angry with Atari, i just want those cars. Nothing wrong with that i hope.

All the cars in the pre-orders giveaway and the referral scheme have been regarded as Premium DLC. Meaning these cars will be available at a later date for a cost. All the cars will be in future DLC, it's not that these people ONLY have them, it's that they get them earlier than those who didn't participate or were just too late, they will be available to buy and download in the future.

I believe the F1 LM and Zonda S Roadster were available to any as the slip states, the first 75,000 TDU copies will have this slip. Only 10,000 people will be the first to get the 2 cars this way.

And I know Atari isn't going to dedicate 75,000 copies to 1 continent.

I got my game one day before Europe release. Didnt get any of those cars. So "the first 75,000" is not the right term...allthough it is the one used.
