Saw a few of the PC gamers on these boards say that they will be buying GTR 2 to keep them occupied until TDU, just wondering if anyone has bought a copy yet? I got mine on day of release and find it absolutley stunning! 10sur10

So anyone got a copy and if so what's your online name? Mines "Deejay" if ever you see me online mdr1

I won't be buying it... waiting for TDU and playing Racer, Live for speed and Virtual Sailor until TDU is released. And of course, upgrading my PC so I'll be ready when TDU comes.

Anyways, I'm playing a little bit of GTR2, and CS:S to tide me over. :)

Yup. That's old, but it's still a great simulation. Totaly free with great phisics and lots of cars to download.

I have GTR2, got it on the weekend.

Graphics are excellent, game play is good too lots more in the second game in comparison to the original GTR.

And yes it is an Atari game but the people who usually get all the credit, such as in GTR and GT Legends, are Simbin and 10Tacle. Not sure how much input Atari had with the development?!

But it does need a top spec PC to do it any justice to the extent of the graphics, which puts PGR3 to shame concerning interiors lol.

GTR 2 is a great game... and when combined with the Logitech MOMO Steering wheel... the experience is doubled! Awsome, very very realistic handling, loved the in-car views... shame it's not that special graphics-wise.

But anyway... when combined with the MOMO Wheel, its the best race car sim I've ever played!

Hope it will keep me occupied till TDU comes out on the PC :)

I think I may get a racing game thats a little different to TDU to keep me going. Was going to wait on Carbon as I played Most Wanted on the XBOX and quite enjoyed it. Project Gothem 3 hopefully will be coming to budget soon.

What niche does GTR2 fill?

GTR2 = Sim like Forza. Coming to the 360 as well.......

NFS:Carbon = absolutely the worst game I have ever played.

Lol I may wait till Forza 2 then. I love the 'lack of think needed' racing that NFS offers. Is there any other game that offers this but does it better than Carbon then?

I enjoy running from the police and modding cars.

Any ideas?

Phew, I thought that MW was a good game. Thought my taste in games had gone down the toilet. I may see if I can get the 360 version of MW as I cant play my XBOX version as its not on the compatible list.

Maybe if you don't like Carbon, then why not try Import Tuner Challenge (something like that?!) for 360. Its modified cars and stuff, not sure about police though. It has interior views but when i say interior views its a steering wheel and clocks lol. Looks alright though, not sure what the reviewers say.
Can't comment on Carbon as haven't played it yet, but I think NFS games in general are going downhill, the best were the old hot pursuits and NFSU2. :)
