Has anyone noticed on a certain zoom of the island a purple cloud appears in the south region of the map???
I cant see any reason for it being there.. Anyone seen this or know what it is??
yah i have seen it and its only on the one level of zoom and i dont know what it is.
Someone on here once said it shows the area with the most live players in it. Could be true as most people seem to hang around the city and crater area.
Not sure, just what I read, but would be good to get more info.

I saw this last night and around/in the 'cloud' it showed a number of players, but none elsewhere on the map and that's what I initially thought it represented - so I'll go with that theory.

there is a the large purple cloud, and a number of smaller white clouds... They are always in the same location, the never change, there are there whether you are online or offline, and they have looked the same since the first day i got the game. There appears to be absolutly no reason for them at all, other than to make us ask why.

No, sorry you are all wrong. Actually the purple cloud is a pollution meter. As more and more people join the game the meter (cloud) gets larger until it poisons everybody on the map at the time. The meter then restarts. This repeats as necessary.

I believe that players are only visible around where your cross hairs are on the map, that is why you aren't seeing players all over the place ;)

This may be true but either way my cross hair was nowhere near the cloud but it still displayed players. What's your theory on the cloud if not that then paint?

Cross hairs or the target thingy me jiggy, other than that, I guess it's just a huge purple cloud, maybe most densely populated area of the map.

I liked Clarkson's responsible way of getting rid of cars. He blew them up with a shoulder-mounted rocket launcher. hehe.
