View Full Version : Test Drive Unlimited - Too Easy??
Anyone else think that the single player races were too easy? There was only one race that I had trouble with and that was Tantalus. The majority I was able to win first try. The hitchhiker missions were frustrating but they werent exactly hard.
Dont get me wrong, I really enjoyed the game but now I am champ I am a little dissapointed that theres no more races for me to do (apart from Multiplayer but I dont particularly like the S7 tonguegre ). I also see lots of Champs around so I assume most people found it fairly easy to get to.
Will there ever be more SP races as DLC?

Well I don't wanna annoy you, but if all you're finding is Saleen's in the MP races, you're not taking your time to find good ones that don't use them (either that or you're **** at driving the S7, which most people are, including myself at times, lol). You could always create your own race though.
I spent most of last night racing with some sensible racers. Not once did we use the S7's, but went through almost all the classes from B to G. We all respcted each other (kind of) and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Don't build your hopes up about extra SP missions cos thats how you got your GP's anyway. There's no point in adding any other SP missions cos Microsoft limit the amount of GP's available to 1000, so you'd not get any extra points for the missions....get me drift. Chocolate and fireguard spring to mind etc etc.
:)
Good points. I was kinda joking about the S7s hence the smiley but I do find a lot of people use the S7 for MP races.
I am not great with the s7 but i am not terrible either. But I would prefer to be in a race with lower cars and rely on skill at taking corners than all out speed. I joined a race the other day that was limited to the Merc DTM. There was 4 of us racing and it turned out that the race was a lap of the island. 1 person quit out about half way through but the other 2 kept on untill the end. I was very surprised and pleased that they did considering they were about 2miles behind me (i even stopped at one point to light a cig). 55mins the race took.
GP arnt everything. I wouldnt mind seeing extra races as DLC to achieve new ranks. There could be a whole load of new races for ACE class (if there arnt already, im only champ) then maybe new ranks after that, that would show dedication to the game and make me want to keep playing.
Yes. Tantalus and the Maseratti challenge were the only 2 which got me annoyed at the game and the only 2 which gave me that great sence of achievment when I did them.
But, online keeps it alive (when it works) especially club races.
Sure there are a lot of S7 drivers, I'm one of them. Difference is, I can (usually) control it where as other can't (I have beaten S7's, F1's, Enzos etc in my DB4 in club races before due to the others not being any good in them). But also you will find some people will change class/car/track etc.
Not to mention the 8 player freeride makes for good entertainment. Cruising, arsing about, even cannonball runs, whatever you think of to do you can do.
