Are the NPC's still dumb?

In NWN 1 you can ignore the NPC and loot everything around them with out them saying anything about it.
Is this fixed in NWN 2 ?

This is down to how the NPC's are scripted. In many custom content mods they were scripted to respond by attacking or whatever. For the official campaign the answer is "We don't know until it is released".
