Ive been to 4 cruises all had at least 1 person lagging, 1 time someone said i was lagging but the other 3 nobody said anything. The cars that looked like they was lagging i could just drive straight through but other people could crash into them.

Nope. Just unplug everything from the back of your router (power and phoneline) and leave it for a bit. Plau it all back in (phone line first) turn it back on, wait for it to connect and then turn you xbox back on. it may help...

I stopped using my BT modem, just use a router now (Belkin with built in Modem)... That seems to work fine. Although I do get the odd person lagging now and then. But think everyone gets that.

I didn’t realise mine did. Until my housemate moved out and I connected it straight to the wall and everything still worked. Then I looked at the box it came in… “Belkin Wireless Router and Modem”. So I just use that now.

Have you tried pinging stuff inside and outside your ISP's network?

If your pings are generally **** all round you might have a problem between your house and the exchange especially if you are getting a lot of dropped carriers.

This site might also come in handy as you can check your upstream/downstream transfer rates to various points around the globe:
