Apologies if this is a repost.

What wheels (if any) do you guys use....short description (or link) for each would be a help, but won't lose sleep over it.

Cheers

Tried a Joytech wheel, utter rubbish!! No sensitivity, no feedback, impossible to controll, the pedals were almost just on/off!

Then bought a Logitech wheel, much better, but still not perfect. The "force feedback" engines are quite "notchy", so its not easy to fineadjust the steering when youre travelling around.(hope you understand what Im trying to say here...) but nonetheless, its MUCH better than the Joytech.

Was hoping that maybe the Logitech MOMO wheel should be availeable for xbox, and I really dont understand why they cant release one really good wheel for xbox, instead of these plastic, lowquality wheels??

When the car-games get THIS realistic, it su*ks to use low-quality wheels, or gamepads, with it!

Totally understand. Read up on the Logitech stuff and wasn't convinced. Might just stick to the pad for the time being and buy crackdown when it comes out (looks good fun with the co-op missions, but thats a different topic i guess). Cheers. :)

microsoft is releasing a wireless steering wheel quite soon, in november..

this is the wheel in game.. (http://www.game.co.uk/ViewProduct.aspx?cat=1&mid=329653&ref=main)

well, if its made by microsoft it cant be bad, plus, with that outrageous pricetag, something has got to be good.

I got the Joytech wheel for 360. Its quite good. I've also got a logitech wheel for pc which is excellent so i'll compare the 2.

Joytechs wheel feels really nice. Its got a really nice car feel. It doesn't feel like it was made cheaply. The logitech i have on PC feels sturdy, just not real.

Joytech is vibration feedback. This is just a fancy way of saying "I'm useless in this department but i'll make a vibration every now and then so you don't feel ripped off". A proper force feedback wheel you can almost feel the road, feel when you are losing traction. This is something i'm completely losing here.

Gears. Joytech has a up/down stick which is well placed and sturdy. It also has those racing gears behind the wheel) split into 2 sets of 2 to cover the 360s top buttons). These work well but are a poor design as i had one for a week and one already snapped off. The store replaced it so i'll just have to see if it happens again. Logitechs was a solid racing gears behind the wheel. No chance of it breaking.

Pedals are good. Probably better on the joytech.

Clamps. No desk clamps on the joytech, just rubber feet. Seems to do ok, doesn't really lift off the table but can move around if your not careful. Also comes with these thing to allow you to set the wheel firmly on your legs. Probably of course is my legs move around a bit and the wheel is then hard to use.

Hope that helps you.

Im getting the G25 by Logitech, but alas its only PC and PS2 working at the moment, would have hoped some drivers could get it sorted on 360.

A proper set up - not stupid 2 pedals and paddle shift.

Yeah i was tempted to buy that too. I don't have any expectations it will become supported on the xbox 360. I'd be more likely to assume they will release an xbox 360 version....... one day.

I got one of the Madcatz 2 wheels.. The pedals are nice to use, good weight, and the wheel (once you get it set up how you like it) is good. There's not too much resistance, and it's not Force Feedback, but it makes for a really really good fun drive..

Love it when i'm hooning it around in my Merc (CLK DTM AMG).. Much better for long corners than a pad could ever be..

Peace

The 360 Wireless wheel looks promising but is it truly wireless? because surely it will require mains power for the FF motors.

Another wheel... time to build an extension to store the things!
