I dont know if you mean "More" bikes, or SOME! bikes, but u get bikes from discovering every car dealer on the map. :respect:

i think its a little cheeky making us wait ages for DLC and then making us pay extra for it. I understand that the company needs to make money but i would have thought that the first pack would be free considering the amount of time we've had to wait for it.

i'm actually abit bummed that i will have to pay to get these cars. the Lambo and ferrari, I think were already made, because they were in early pictures of the game. The noble, CCR and C6, just copies. and the RUF, I havn't seen pics of at all, so it might be a new development. It feels like paying for cars they already made and decided not to put in the release.

that aside, I'm really looking forward to the lambo and RUF.

Think, Its £5 for the points.. but its monthly. Over £100 a year, for the £50 game you bought, that features still arn't working. As i say. i welcome the RUF and lambo, can't wait to have them... but you just gotty feel disappointed about it all at the same time.

So this means we wont see the default car, we will see the actuall car. :) I really doubt we will see an orange car driving around.

Logic states, that you can't buy/sell the cars unless you have a DLC-pack. Otherwise some people would get rich in the game quickly by selling the cars to those that didn't have it, and MS and Atari wouldn't get any moneys.

As for Ten hinting and what not, she said that she can be helpful towards the end of next week. Furthermore she said in another thread, that MS never releases stuff on thursday and friday to be sure, that any potential bugs can be fixed and not have a weekend layover.

So that means no patch this week (As of monday night) and by 'towards the end of next week/beginning of the following one' it makes sense, that nothing is coming out that week either.

Remember that this is just me guessing. So it might be completely off.

But it makes sense to me.

As for the cost of it, I gotta say that it saddens me to see, that computergames will now end up costing more and more.

Tenebra, i think you need to have words with Atari. I mean, for one, who the hell brings out a game where half the features dont work (for example, trade and the photo album uploader)

Secondly, we have heard the "my lips are sealed" speech for a while now. Tell Atari and M$ to get a move on otherwise I'm sure we can go and find more interesting and COMPLETED games.........

I havent Played TDU with about a month now and this week NFS Carbon will be released so Ill have that to keep me occupied for a few weeks. Im not saying TDU is a bad game but I got fedup of some of the challenges in the end.

Fair enough, the question I asked kinda read a bit worse than I wanted it to but couldnt do anything, thats the problem with forums, you can't detect any tone of a question. I have no idea how MS works with Live so was just asking that question, and hoping that you could let us know if Atari have passed on the finalised patch to MS for release... obviously it's a waiting game for any info though.

I heard that the update is now out as in the patch, well that is what a friend told me, I haven't checked yet though. And according to xbox.com the packs are out now so I guess it must be coming soon (or already there I dunno, cant check again but lack of posts regarding it makes me think otherwise).

If nothing is released by the time I go to put a few other games on ebay/trade in at game then I'm pretty sure TDU will be one which goes with them, so I hope something is out in the next week or so else I'll be saying bye bye to something which looks like it could be one of the best games ever...

I was hoping NFS:Carbon would get all of the bad drivers and little chavs out of TDU, looks like the lack of packs/patches is going to force more than those people on to NFS

In all fairness, I know many people complain about lack of updates and patches, new DLC etc. but unfortuntly, game development is not always a fast one. - eden/atari are bottlenecked by MS and its procedures, timelines etc. - in a realistic world, and had they been an independant development/publisher studio on a differnt platform, then the patch would of already been released. - at the end of the day its business, and with that in mind you need to wait for the red tape to clear before you can cross.

Im sure Atari/eden would love to stop here and say "hey guys this is whats going on...." but again its the bottlenecks of MS that makes the limitations. NOT Atari or Eden.

So for now, all you can do is support the game by waiting. and im sure when it arrives you will all be pleased. - we all know its just round the corner.

The MS website coupled with some of Tenebra's posts indicates that the DLC is currently in Microsofts laps for internal testing.

However, I can't imagine that this is the UPDATE that fixes the bugs. Just more cars :)

Update is obviously free, but noone knows where that is at the moment.

I've enjoyed the single player game, but because of the delays I don't see much reason to purchase (i.e. give Atari any more money) for more cars. New cars don't add a lot to the game, unlike new missions etc in GRAW.

If they had appeared a little earlier whilst my interest was still at a high then maybe I would have!!

the games been released just over a month now and people have already gotten bored of the 90 odd cars in the game, the 5 car download isnt really gonna last you even a week. after that people will be begging for another 5 cars. and for the patch it shouldn't really be the decider of playing the game or selling it as this game wasn't a racing one its mainly for the cruising aspect of the game which works perfectly in my opinion if you guys are having problems connecting to your mates or what ever then i think you should have a look at your internet set up. Atari has made one mistake by leading us on but i dont think they would do this on purpose, why would they anyway.

i'm getting bored of the game.. or what could of been the best ever. My fustration is... i got 2 xbox's, one for me and one for friend. Thats was over £600, i also bought 2 rechargable battery packs £30. He bought the games £100. subsrciption we will have to pay for soon, I don't tihnk its too much to ask, If atari stick to what they say.....and i do have the right to complain if i'm not happy.

I know people will want to reply to this saying... 'If your not happy bring it back..blah blah blah'. Well i won't get the £50 back, but i'm not wanting to bring it back. If you think this your missing the point completely. With the money i've paid, I'd like the monthly dlc's. We are paying customers and should have a right to be unhappy from what I personally feel is completely unsatisfactory customer service. I've never seen any large scale massively multiplayer game have bugs like these stay for so long unfixed. It would be like going on WoW and for a month not being able to trade items with other players. We have the right to be unhappy with the service we have been given, considering if we didn't buy Atari's game they would be out of business.

it has been ages since this game was released and there still is no online trade, no downloadable cars and cheaters left right and centre.
i have the right to voice my opinion on a game the has not delivered what it promised.
this game was a fantastic game when it was released and bugs were inevitable, but to have had them for soo long with no sign of a fix is ludacris and will not be tollerated by myself and many others.
atari got this wrong, very wrong and this will be reflected in the fact that i will not buy another game from this developer.
this corporation has produced dead horse after dead horse in the gaming world and im afraid this is the final straw, i bid this developer farewell and hope to see them out of buisness in the not to distant future.

As for Atari-money-game sucess... let's just say 80408 people have TDU (plus those without an internet connection). Not all are going to be new, a lot are 2nd hand (looking at ebay and in game/gamestation etc.) Atari are generating nothing from sales from those people.

Doesn't take a genius to figure out that 80,000 sales isn't going to generate anywhere near as much money as the game cost to make. And with more and more copies of TDU ending up in the 2nd hand bins at Game and on ebay it doesn't look too good from where I am sat.

I think you should buy a new seat, and sit somewhere, where you will have another opinion. Im sitting in a comfy chair and I have no opinion - atm - so if you get a new seat then you will be just fine :p

Nope, sitting in other seats still gives me the same opinion.

IF Atari are barely keeping afloat then yes the sucess of this game will make a large impact on that. With it being a first (MOOR) and next gen etc. chances are it will be a sucess, and 80k players in the past couple of months isn't bad going. HOWEVER, the fact more and more used copies of TDU are appearing on ebay and in the "played it trade it" bins it means that no more revenue will come from those copies meaning that (potentially) Atari may never make another penny on this title. If more and more people are getting as annoyed as I am over this game then more and more will be returned, losing Atari money. With that in mind, no matter where you sit it can't look good.

As for Atari-money-game sucess... let's just say 80408 people have TDU (plus those without an internet connection). Not all are going to be new, a lot are 2nd hand (looking at ebay and in game/gamestation etc.) Atari are generating nothing from sales from those people.

Doesn't take a genius to figure out that 80,000 sales isn't going to generate anywhere near as much money as the game cost to make. And with more and more copies of TDU ending up in the 2nd hand bins at Game and on ebay it doesn't look too good from where I am sat.

That's why I think that PC version of the game is of great importance for Atari. This might be a reason why they delayed PC version (to make it bug-free and maybe with some new options) so they could correct the mistake made with the Xbox version.

You's might be more annoyed when the PC version is bug free, more cars, extra features ad only £30. While we paid £50 for what we got

I uderstand how you feel, but...

- I don't think that PC version will have more cars
- I don't think it will cost less than Xbox version
- You've got the game more than 5 months earlier, and at this point I would be satisfied with simple PC version with all bugs that Xbox ver. has and without any online features.
- PC ver. might have some extra features (although it just a speculation), but it is due the Xbox disk space limits and specifications.

Pc games cost £30 or £35. I don't know any PC game thats costs £50 like the xbox games cost.

To be honest i don't thing Atari is working thir ****s of... If u look at the screens from befor the game was relesed ull se that Many of the cars we get in the first pack where already done. So what have they been doing this last month and a half? Well Im pretty sure they don't work all nigt. Well hope to get the game soon ATARI! I have many angry customers coming in my Game store asking for mony back cuz there is no uppdate on the game.
So get a move on plz!

Each car takes about 2 weeks to render and create for the game, so those cars are indeed available and are ready to go but also remember that this DLC situation allows Atari to sort out licences they couldn't before the games release and can then add later on as DLC. Would love to know how that discussion with the big German marque went that was mentioned a few months ago.

Also remember it's easy to make a placeholder for marketing material and such, that doesn't mean the car is complete. The more cars the better, but rewarding your consumers is more important than always asking for money from them. If there's an announcement Thursday and MS don't release anything over the weekend then it must mean a close to the 15th release as said last month.
