I'll remember that when you're in jail because you drove without a license.
I don't think I've had a 'posing' car in my life - just use them to get from A to B :)
Currently have an 03 Punto that I bought new.
Previously had all sorts like a Marina, A 7 seater Nissan, an XR3i, Opel Kadett City, Clio, etc...
If I'm ever rich though, it'll be an Aston all the way... DB9 looks tasty and every time they get one on Top Gear I sit glued to the set *sighs wistfully*

I agree with you on the Astons, I’m nowhere near old enough to drive but they would be cool to own (Even though I know I never will). I've been lucky enough to go in some nice cars, namely an Enzo and a Carrera GT (I wasn't driving obviously) but have never been anywhere near a proper Aston, annoyingly.

Well I actually like it, but I can't get over the "hairdresser" style of the first gen model...
'Tis a good car though. Can't fault it and it's nice to see someone who works hard to actually reward themselves lol.

Agree with the hairdresser thing, but it all dissappear when you climb in. It actuall 'feels' like a sportscar whereas the other one was held together with super glue (had on of those too, chopped it in for the new one)
It'll easily waste the 3 series, not sure about the 350Z but wouldn't mind trying it though once its been for an engine remap etc (don't ask how much its costing - makes my wallet run for cover every time its mentioned, lol)

I had one of these following me in my C70 quite close out of a roundabout last week. Not sure if it was the TDi, but it kept with me up to 90mph or so. Then it seemed to drop back. I'm not sure if that was due to the power difference, or whether the driver already had 9 points on his licence, and so was being careful.
You don't live around the Cambridge/Ely area do you? ;)

what about the underground?
cheapest everywhere else though - and the fastest for your 'non-driving' 15 year old
even if the rear wheel is buckled
and the rear brake has been removed as the buckle causes the brakes to come on for every rotation
and the suspension which has locked up
and the gears which wont go into 15-21
and the rusty frame
and the dodgy front disk
and the fact it weighs a ton
and the fact the pedals have snapped leaving 2 plastic studs to pedal with
and the seat which is loose
still, it is my bike

what about the underground?I can get from home to work on a bike faster than the tube, actually, if I include the the time to shower and change after the ride, its still a close run thing...

i use my bike for things other than transport, everything exept the rust and weight is a concequence of my 'jumping'
i could spend a day sorting it i suppose
1. new rear wheel - £25
2. new rear wheel means i can sort out the brake
3. suspension can be taken apart and loosened
4. just tightening the cable for the front gear changer will sort out 15-21 problem
5. a respray will cover the rust
6. i need new pads for the disk - they'll cost many a fair penny!
7. weight cant be solved
8. replacing the stumps with metal pedals will sort the pedal problem out and will stop it from re-occuring
9. the seat is retightened every 2 weeks, something must be knackered

Crazed_Dodgem
11-11-2006, 01:34
lazy individual!
i guess that you live in a city though, wrexham is alot more rural and there isnt always a bus to take you everywhere, my girlfriend, for example lives in a tiny hamlet off the beaten track, i have a 40 minuite ride to get to her house... there is a 10 minuitly bus service to chester but the nearest stop to her house it a good 2 miles away from her house. i would rather ride for 6 miles than get a bus and then walk 2. anyway, riding is good for my shmexy physique (even if i am slightly knackered when i finally get to her house :p)
i really should get a racer, or atleast a roadbike, my bike is suited to mud - not tarmac

My wepages about it (more info) (http://godzilla.netfirms.com/r32gts-4.htm)
First brother (younger) owns an R32 Nissan Skyline GTS-25 (automatic, sedan) which is being worked on to make it road legal again (exhaust is too loud, had cut springs and so on). He got this because he crashed his old GTS-25 auto sedan on a gravel road (Skylines really suck on gravel). Don't have any pics of his new one, but here are before and after pics of the old one (which is being wrecked for parts now).

220cc Briggs and Straton engines, rear hydraulic brakes and sports exhausts. Not sure about the stroke, I'll look into it tomorrow.

thers a BIG difference between 2 and 4 stroke...i am way faster than 200cc twin-engined 4 strokes (400cc in total) in my 100cc
but you do get some tuned 4 strokes that are fast
