with the nissan skyline and rs4 it took 20 mb, thts bout 10mb per car

so anywhere between 60 and 100mb would b a good guess

If you look at xbox.com and the car pack page it says how much they are, what cars they are and how big it is... so much more info than on the "offical" forum for the game

Tenebra explained that Microsoft don't allow her to post info on here at this time.

No, she explained that they cannot announce stuff until it is public, big difference. It is public yet it's left to members of the forum to post the info on the official site.

i know where your coming from rich but that might be because xbox.com is updated by Microsoft and Atari probably has no control over it, obviously Microsft knowes whats going to be in the DLc and must have made it public when they wanted it to be.

if i would have seen info about the pack on testdriveunlimited.com i would have been anoid

So the patch must be ready soon as i remember when someone moaned about there not being dlc 6 weeks after the games release the answer was there is not much point adding to the game untill they have done a patch and got all the glitches/bugs fixed, or was that just more misinformation.

RichMR2
30-10-2006, 15:27
Aparently the patch is out now... so my friend told me.

And yes, xbox.com is updated by ms (however they state the packs are available now when they arent). But that doesn't stop Atari making an announcement on the forums as soon as its public, they know when MS are updating yet still nothing from anyone Atari about it.

And, technically, ten isnt atari, not paid by atari = not employed by atari right? Any contract there? Thus, it would not be breaching anything between Atari & MS if she was to post some stuff she knows about... even if it is "unconfirmed". Not that Im saying that should happen.

I just feel as if Atari dont give a ****. Full of empty promises and BS. And Im not alone there, and have very good reason too!

They should pay us (compensation if you will) for the time we have been playing the game that does not do everything we paid for! A week or two we could live with 2 months with the only info being "coming soon" is pathetic!
Like I have said before if it was always the intention to release extra cars after 6 weeks, why are they still not available? I appreciate the bugs are a completely different issue, but people are more understanding if they are not treated like mushrooms!

I think 350 is too much for a pack contaning 6 cars. Afterall, the PGR3 packs are 400 points and they contain 12 cars.

RichMR2
31-10-2006, 15:29
I think 350 points is too much too for us who paid full price for the game, however the US got it half price budget due to DLC costs... the game price should have been full for everywhere and free/cheaper DLC or half price everywhere and 350mp for packs.

I also think as a good will gesture Atari should release eitehr a few cars or a pack for free to make up for the delays, bugs, data loss etc.

They could charge 600 points per pack and people would pay if the game is ok though, I would have.

350 MP would therefore be roughly equivalent to:

1) a pint of Stella

2) a 6 inch meatball sub

3) 3 litres of unleaded

although the meatball sub sounds very tempting I think I'll take the Lambo et al.

The download pack that these 2 cars where in also contains at least 4 other cars (Spker Spider, Lambo, F1 LM, Zonda spider) so each car is approx 3.3mb.

hmmm 5 million for an old ferrari eh , i best get doing the old 180 mph in heavy traffic for a bit till the pack is released then :)

RichMR2

You will earn enough for future packs too if you start now! I've had $8million waiting for these cars for well over a week now, it took 30 mins if that (well 12 secs a race, $70k per race, $70k in 12 secs, $350k per min so thats $1million in 2.8 mins... shouldn't take long... you will have trillions by the time the packs are released)

its not $5m worth or rare!Do you ever think before you speak? There was only 34 (some places say 39 also) made in production between 1961-63, and they value from a good condition £5m (that's GBP btw) to a mint condition £9m.

RichMR2
02-11-2006, 17:09
Not just because they are rare though! That's my point. Its not $5m or rare! Its $5m of ferarri + rare.

There are other rare cars with only a few left that aren't worth $5m.

There are other rare cars with only a few left that aren't worth $5m.A good list here. http://www.forbesautos.com/advice/toptens/collector_1.html

"I think this car sold for less than its worth; it should have brought $6.5 million to $7.5 million," said Don Williams, an authority on collector cars, in the November 1991 issue of the now defunct newsletter Automotive Investor. Williams at the time was one of the co-owners of the World Classic auction company and a major seller of some of the world's finest cars. Today most experts peg the value of any one of the 39 GTOs (Ferraris not Pontiacs) at $10 million to $15 million. But there have been no auction sales for 14 years, and 1991 was the low point in the collector market after the U.S. stock market collapse in January 1991. Prior to that, unsubstantiated stories circulated that a Japanese collector had paid $15 million for one.
