I originally posted this here:
http://forums.eu.atari.com/showthread.php?t=45297

but thought not many people would notice it, (it being right at the bottom)

so here is what i am worried about:

it's all well and good that the update is here, but i have found a problem.

When doing a speed challenge (180mph in heavy traffic) i discovered that the speed gauge on the right of screen only starts changing when i reach 40mph.

My speedometer was clearly showing me doing 206mph and i could still not end the challenge!!

What is going on?!?!?!? :hin: :hin:

I think they've changed the speed on that challenge but not the display gauges.

that doesnt explain why the gauge doesnt move until i hit 40mph though

Notice it shows green at 200 now, perhaps something they missed. Anyone tried the one in the city yet ?

yer i saw that, but the speedometer says 40 mph and the bar on the right still says 0, even if they have upped the speed you need, 0 should be 0 not 40

I've tried this twice, and it seems like there's a delay now with some averaging going on. So you have to sustain the target speed for a short while before your success is recognized.

It might be intentional, and the challenge is still a cash cow in a fast enough car, but the game sorely needs ways for people to make money fast, and this is one of few. The problem in this game, after all, is that you can make hundreds of thousands of dollars and then lose them in an instant as fines for traffic violations... even at times when you're not the perp. sour:

It could be worse though, at least the challenge is not entirely impossible.
