Error

Hey,
I got Tyoon City: New York when it 1st came out, I played it through 4 or 5 districts, HD went on me, lost saves, and interest.

A couple of weeks back I reinstalled the game, fine. Had a little problem, so got the patch, fixed it. Played it some more.

One day, went to open it , and got:

TycoonCity.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I tried a couple of answers on the net, including removing settings.dat, and saved games. tried both, individually and seperately. No hope. Emailed tech support a week ago today, no reply as yet. :cry:

Anyone know either how to fix this, or how long tech support could take to get back to me? I emailed them over something to do with the game about 6 months ago, which I never got reply for.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I went from Onboard sound to a Soundblaster Audigy 4 between the last play and this error, which IS set up correctly.

Normally I'd ask whats different about your system, but youve already told me that :noooo: ............shame its so typically vague rolleyesa .......any chance you can try it with onboard sound switched on and the Audigy turned off?....... :respect:

Yea, sorry about vagueness... but that's all there is too it. Any other info you want, I will try to give.

Tried as above, no go, still :noooo:

Going to try reinstalling, but cleaning my registry fully inbetween uninstalling and reinstalling. Not sure why I didn't think of that before... but will edit this post to say if it worked or no.

Finally got around to reinstalling it, cleaned registry as I said I would, reinstalled, turned off my antivirus/firewall software to prevent any kinda clashes, and tried to start game. Got same error as before...
Installed EURO patch, just in case, still no go.

Is there any known issues between Soundblaster audigy 4's, and TC:NY? I'm presuming that is my problem, considering that is all I've changed since last time...
