Not obvious because Clarkson says the Pagani has a much bigger/more powerful engine.

The Zonda isn't that much more powerful by the way.

Jaguar XJ220 - 3.5L V6 Twin Turbo, 542BHP, weight 1372 kg / 3025 lbs

Pagani Zonda - 7.3L V12 Nat Asp, 555BHP, weight 1350 kg / 2976 lbs

So the Zonda has a little more power, weighs a little less, yet gets it's **** kicked by a car 10yrs older... Insane. I love Britsih engineering.

the zonda will beat the 220 round a track any time, its way more sophisticated, with aerodynamics and better brakes. the xj220 goes fast, but isn't really that great at anything else.
from a standstill a little less power may even be an advantage, because traction isn't such an issue.
however, both cars have very similar 0-60 times usually.

I totally agree with you, the Zonda would probably beat the jag round the track. I made this topic just to point out

A: What a great car, and a great achievement the XJ220 is.

B: That they got the two cars a bit mixed up in TDU.

Plus a bit of gloating isn't always bad seeing as I'm in the UK, and that's where the Jag was made :nuts:

yes they are girly. if you went through town in that they'd think your showing off, and they'll think it's girly. BUT BUT with the jag it's a normal car and doesn't look like an alien spaceship. it doesnt look like your up your self. I would certainly have jag than the Zonda.

lol TG wicked show! can't wait till they host this autums series, hope hamster makes a full recovery, but anyone who watches the show know they love the british supercars it's their pride even if they are **** hehe (wish we made better).

The pagani is under rated in the game i want the zonda F.. but the reason it loses is because of a pure start and the jag though has 4 superchargers.. i think lol.

here we are i was close..

3.5 liter V-six engine was installed instead. Its state-of-the-art specifications included four camsafts, twin injectors, twin turbochargers, four valves per cylinder and dry sump lubrication, and it was capable of pumping out 500bhp.

Have you ever seen one? They look insane, well the size of the engine in the backwindow anyway and how low it is. The Zonda isn't totaly show off, car like the Enzo are. Slr has to be the best of what you say, "doesn't look like an alien spaceship. it doesnt look like your up your self."

The Zonda looks superb but I haven't seen a real one in the metal yet. I'd give my left arm for a go of one (but it might be a bit difficult changing down)...

Some old bloke used to regularly turn up at the BTCC meets in an XJ220, not seen him for a while though.
