hi all.
since i bought the ms ff wheel, i got totally addicted to testdrive unlimited. steering is just so much better than with a joypad. all i actually do is cruise around in the ruf porsche... zooming through the landscape (the ruf has the best engine sound, its amazing) got me really hooked. even without force feedback, this has to be the most realistic driving experience ever. now i wonder, how much better can it get? actually, i am kinda afraid as i am in the middle of my college graduation and adding force feedback to tdu might aswell ruin my real-life...
so, who else can't wait for FF? how do you think it's gonna be? as pgr has better driving physics, i wonder if it can be as good?

Same here. The MS wheel is great, but I needed a bit to get used to it..
The gaming experience is totally different than when your playing with a joypad.
But I must say, it was (for me) not as much fun as playing
PGR but that is only because of the lack of force feedback.
But hey, it will be added in the next patch :wink2:

I have the MS wheel too now, but does anyone know how to position the wheel? For some reason the provided disc with PGR and the drivers doesn't seem to have the drivers on it, just PGR.
My wheel is not centered (about 1 degree to the left) which annoys me.
What will the patch add besides FF?

well, first of all you have to adjust the steering in the options, otherwise there is a big lag and its unplayable. other than that it worked out of the box (after installing drivers in pgr, but i dont think that alters the TDU experience).
i have one request for the FF update though: please add head movement on the second controller. plus i think it is currently not possible to set a route in a challenge. that should be assigned to the second controller as well. i cant wait!!

Force feedback is a must for this game - I have the wheel working quite well in TDU and it does add a whole new dimension to the game - just need to feel the bumps and bashes now.

You had problems with TDU being twitchy with your wheel?
I've found if you have the "wheel" setting on the game has ZERO dead zone.
If you have "wheel" off you get a huuuuuuge dead zone. A setting to make it playable with my logitech wheel would be nice

I have linear set to zero and steering sensitivity set to just under max. I also drive from the inside car view which seems to work better.

The only problem i have for that is for corners where you need to judge the curve of the wheel. Its out of proportion and messes with my head LOL
