Ok i know TDU isnt a godly game, or isnt anything close to PGR3 for gfx or racing.

Just this other forum i go on people seem to have under rated TDU, i don't know why because i think this game is great, it has new ideas, freedom, good gfx, the cars sound and handle very well.

Then i see PGR3 people chose this over TDU.. after i bought TDU and tried PGR3 i thought why do i need another racing/driving game when i have TDU, i hate racing sims like PGR3 because of the limited tracks everything you do is near 100% challenge or racing, i like been able to just cruise around for fun and have a race for serious when and where i want to.

The only other driving game i'd consider now is Forza2 and a rally or dakar game such as rallisport.. i don't even know if they'll make a #3 after 2 previous titles on xbox which were very good, i'd like to see mud and dust, rain and snow, ice and whatever with in car veiws like TDU and be able to USE THE WIPERS!!

Also while i'm on the point why didn't TDU include night or weather into there game, i know hawaii is a hot sunny place most of the time but everywhere gets night time and some rain thunderstorms..

So say your opinions too, thanks!

Why did gamespot rate tdu 7.8 are they insane have they been paid off or something, they also gave need 4 speed carbon the same score ha ha ha how could they, personal I think EA destroyed there reputation on release of carbon after the likes of most wanted and underground. I have played more than 480 hours on this game and still not bored, it is by far the best driving game I have ever played and gaming guy i dont want to steel your name and glory but I have play a lot of games since 1984 I am the gaming guy too in a word.
BTW yes I have played Forza in its day it was no1 and wiped its rear end on grand turd is a no no altho they had better replays

I quote "Never ever gonna take gamespots score of a game as gospel again"

TDU is a minimum of a 9.0 it is a revolution in driving games

I now wish Getaway was comming out on 360 too, doh better start saving

I think it's fair to say that people who derive the most longevity out of TDU are the hardcore car nuts. People who are not tend to look at the game from a different perspective and are more intent on pointing out the various technical flaws in the game than actually appreciating it for what it is.

I am anything BUT a hardcore car nut. I really don't like driving (I have a license but i've not driven in years) and really not that keen to start driving again. I think you're missing the point here in that there is just a huge amount of freedom to this game. Being able to just jump in a car and mooch around this massive island is the kind of freedom that made the GTA series so amazing.

GTA San Andreas for example was a spectacular game, and i'm looking forward to seeing the size of the new GTA on the 360 at the end of next year.

In closing, I really do think it's the freedom and the space that gives this game its longevity rather than just car nuts.

Well, that's my 2 pennys worth..

Peace

p.s. Bartarama, I#'ve been playing games since 1979, so that makes me the gaming guy buddy.. That's nearly a 28 year old habit.. top that...
