View Full Version : I have a question about Beta Testing
does anyone have any idea if this is just going to be open to ppl who pay for the membership at fileplanet?? or will it be open to everyone at some point?? this makes me really frustrated. I have been apart of other beta testings in the past another great racing game that I was a part of was MotorCity Online & atleast they didn't make ppl pay to test there game thats really lame if you ask me. madred: madred: madred: sour:

After roughly 48 hours of download dramas I've finally got the game installed and ready to go, apart from the beta key which I don't have. It's those few numbers and letters alone which are preventing me from playing the game. I'd gladly test the game for Atari and provide beneficial feedback, but refuse to pay for providing that service. Hmm what to do..any Fileplanet subscribers not interested in TDU that can get me a key... :noooo:
yeah I don't think ppl should have to pay to test out a video games especially when they are looking to get feedback

Yeah, you are right, we shouldn't have to pay. And the closed beta is just for 5000 ppl. If they would make a beta for all, they would be getting a lot more feedback. And with more feedback, they would be able to make an even better TDU for PC.

As much as I agree, I'll willing to bet this is done so not every hacker can get his hands on it.
like that or like that i think some hacker at some point will be able to make a game file that lets you play offline with out the servers for free

the hackers will ALWAYS get their hands on it...
matter of fact, they already have.
this way a lot of people get the beta who are absolutely not interested in helping with improving the game. i have read posts like "got the TDU beta, but it sucked and i quickly deleted it." yeah great, thats another one of the 5000 keys gone...
also the NDA is violated everywhere, i've seen heaps of screens and vids and posts from the beta already on the web, while the people who are really interested and want to help are left out.

January is supposed to have a public beta.
