Atari Staff pls read. (car packs)

Hi,

i bought the 2 new car packs and while playing with my brother i thought i would show off my new Ruf well anyway on his screen it shows as some random coloured car with Test Drive on the windscreen same with my Edonis and countach etc.

I think that this is disgusting as one reason i bought those packs was to show off some sweet rides and only people with the packs can see them, what's the point in buying them!!!

This would not help sales for the car packs!!

For example:
I'm driving around in a Countach someone sees me in it and wants it, very simple! People who would not normally splash out for the add on packs would now be tempted. As for me i'm driving around in a piece of shite to the people without the packs which has put me off driving them.


I have a suggestion:
What you could do is make it a generic automated update when you boot the game up like the essential updates. This way everyone will see the new cars! but not able to view them in the Garages or better still make them availible to view in the garage but state only for purchase if car packs bought via Xbox live marketplace.

This way people will see the cars and want them which would lead to more sales of the car packs.


Anyway so my point is, i'm rather upset that only people with the packs can see the cars on the road but what makes it worse is that they see some scrap metal!!! Not a stunner Countach for example.

This for me spoils the game and personally is enough to make me sell the game as i see it as a huge set back to a awesome game!


Also slightly off topic but the headlights on the Edonis don't flash when loooking from the front.

I would really like to hear your feedback and thoughts.

He needs to download the free cars from each pack ie the lexus and whatever free car came out this month. they contain the data for the car packs. the actual car packs only contain the authoring data so you can access them...

Firstly, What do you think the free cars are for? If your brother or anyone else downloads the free cars they will be able to see the cars that people like you and me bought. Simple.

Secondly, The Edonis headlights are known about. It has been addressed in many posts on this forum.

Thirdly, there are no set backs to TDU, its an amazing game. It just isnt fully working properly yet...

It's a glitch, as simple as that.. Did you try resetting the car or go to map mode and then finding him again? That car you were driving was the Atari Test car and has been mentioned on the site before.. Something like a Honda CBX 1000 engin..

Jaffa when Premium DLC (Downloadable Content) is released there are 2 packs available you have probably noticed, the Premium one you buy allows you the ability to purchase, race, tune etc the new cars in your game as well as see all the other players who may have it also. The free pack is exactly the same as the Premium packs apart from the fact you only have that one free car available to you to purchase and use in the game however everyone is still able to view and hear the new cars, only those who purchase the packs can buy them ingame and use them.

The Edonis is known about also there have been a few posts about it.

Oh and the Edonis thingy i wasn't aware it was metioned hence why i made it a wee note at the bottom.
