Patch v2 does not work on Gamesload Version of BP!!!

Hi!

Just downloaded Boiling Point from Gamesload.de. After some tweaks in video options it seems to run fine on my PC.

Before further digging into the game I would like to make sure that I have the latest version.

Tried Europe version of the 2.0 patch: had no luck. Patch application tells me that Boiling Point can not be found on my PC.

Maybe the version I have has been patched already? The German text on Gamesload says something like 'Version 2 of the game".

How can I tell what version of the game I have installed? Is there a file which shows a version ID or something?

Yo!

I posted my question also on a BP fan site which is closely linked to the XENUS development team. Two folks there gave me a tip:

try something out which has been introduced with patch v2.

So I did!

First I tried to shoot some weird little kiddo which asked me for some pesos. The game would not let me kill him - which is new in v2.

Then I drove to a gas station and bough cans of gas - something which is also new in v2.
