Depends if you mean in a straight line or round corners?

In a straight line its probably a stage 3 tuned Saleen S7.

The Saleen doesn't believe in corners though, to the Saleen the world is flat and a straight line.

The Saleen has the fastest acceleration, but top-end it's the Koenigsegg CCR.

But why !@/#% i cant beat others in drive in challences like long straight 1 speed limiter and woth have same cars. But my car is 10km/h slower. WTF!?!?!?!??? madred:

And there was something chrysler what no tuned speed was 400km/h. unlocked when drived all races...

the best all round cars for racing and stuff when top speed doesnt realy come into it (and lets face it corners exsist) i would choose an s3 enzo or s3 mclaren f1 gtr

CCR Does 296Mph in another Cars Draft....if its not in a Draft it will struggle to do 270mph

The Chrysler is a ME Four Twelve and Cannot be tuned but has 7 Gears

I have taken the CCR to 300MPH while drafting, the problem is there really isn't a long enough straight road. I have never got the Chrysler any where close to that even while drafting.

Have you tried that long stretch of road that runs past the small airfield? If you're in a free ride with a few people it should reduce the amount of AI traffic to a manageable level so that you can get a decent run.

Its better than the F1 and probably F1 GTR but still doesn't have the konigsegg's top speed, the quoted speed is 264MPH fully tuned, but it is good around corners

koni CCR is easily the fastest top speed car... like the man says, it hits 300 in draft.. nothing else comes close :atari:

It says its top speed is 264. It lies. I have got it to go way faster than the CCR, 278 on its own (by the small airfield) and 323 in another F1 GTs draft.

F1 GT is fastest in game. Not so good when you hit a corner at those speeds though. Saleen S7 when driven properly will beat it (even on corners).

If you find a straight enough bit of road the CCR will happily get to 285 and with drafting it could go on for a while. If the F1 GT is faster then why doesn't it say so?

But seriously, if you raced an F1 GT and a CCR by the small airfield (or any other long straight) the F1 GT would win, get a faster speed and probably accelerate quicker. I have done so many times, great fun, try it.

Yeah you've got a point, the GT must have had its stats copied nearly directly from the GTR and F1, but the speed is better. Maybe its just they didn't want to keep increasing the top speed to ludicrous figures because it detracts from the realism a bit

I think I'd prefer the using the GT. I have trouble keeping the CCR going in a straight line, never mind around corners!

*offtopic* why is for example the enzo faster than the f1 gtr?...it accelerate mutch faster. ok if u have a 5km airfield to drive on the f1 would go faster.
irl the f1 not f1 gtr will accelerate faster than the enzo...=/

Lol. Got carried away there. The Saleen is great around corners when you know how. Doesnt like corners and hills going upwards together though. Shame...

I liked the slaeen and was quite good with it (2000 miles) but I just fancied a change with the konigsegg. BTW my saleen is black so I'm not at fault here for once

hmmmmmmmmmm i have a stage 3 CCR and a stock S7...... the CCR has a greater top speed than a stage 3 S7 but acceleration cannot touch it.... ive had my CCR hit 280 but i sort of caught the draft of a car so say 278

yes...but the effort you spend doing that you could become a master of the enzo and murcielago...they'll still go around corners quicker than a saleen ( or ccr) no matter what you do

also here's one for discussion...is the lotus exige the best car for corners in th game (better than all the A grade cars...i.e it would set the fastest time for the 'Jackpot' race)

When Drafting another very fast car I topped out the Saleen at 273 mph. Is anything in the game faster, I don't know.

basically it is a compotition to set a best time on Kelekole Pass (in the mountains to the west of the island) using stage 3 lotus exiges, so far the fastest time has been 3'22"37 (info/leaderboard can be found here (http://forums.eu.atari.com/showthread.php?t=46504))

i challenge the muscle car pistonboys to beat that time in their non-turning weapon of choice, and then rub it in when they loose to a c-class car

nothing but turns :) thats why i feel it is going to be a tall order, none the less, have fun.

well, technically there are straights at the very beginning and at the very end, and the lotus hits redline before the end of these straights, slight viper advantage.

also, it is a multiplayer race, so any car can do it. if no-one is doing the race, then press y to do a practice run. the good thing about that is the fact you get to watch the replay.

be warned, when the record time was set, jay (adjudicator) was in an enzo and struggled to keep up, the time is going to be a bugger to beat and you will probably (like me) go insane trying to cut the time

What is drafting? And im 12 year old kid and i think saleen driving is not so ****ing hard... Not just tryed yet. And without driving aids. But im asking fastest car on top speeds. Like we think there is 10km straight. What would be fastest car in it?

i'm guessing english isn't your first language, so i wont complain about grammar...

drafting is following another car or bike, at high speed, basically the way that the front car messes with the airflow means that you get less air resistance on your own car, making it go even faster. (basically, imagine putting your open hand underwater and moving it forwards, the clench a fist and move your hand, the fist has less resistance and movement is easier)
