Is the open beta going to be able to be used by non-fileplanet subscribers or you need to pay the 5 bux... my dad would kill me b4 he lets me use his credit card 4 ANYTHING

it should do but maybe not with high settings. Maybe medium settings. BTW Isnt the amd athlon 3500 @ 2.2ghz with 512kb L2 cache?

Steve your right, I have that same processor, it's 2.2ghz.

To zonda man, I got an x800 pro with the same processor and 2 gigs of ram and I can run the game max graphics with no HDR with about 30 fps...it's fairly smooth most of the time, occasional lag but not too bad.

By the way, overclock that thing you got, I did a minor overclock to my processor, same as yours and got it to 2.4ghz and it didn't even raise my computer's temperature a degree...still running at a solid 29 degrees celsius.

i think i will run on 1024x700 medium graphic or higer :) i have 2.6 intel 512 Ram ddr2 kingstone will be 1 GB for TDU :) EAX1300PRO 256/128bit :)

I guess I will be able to run TDU on the max graphics (or almost max) Oblivion has never lagged to me on full graphics and tdu graphics is almost as good if not better...

Im upgrading to an amd athlon 64 x2 4200 next week and in a few weeks im buying an Nvidia 8800 GT so my system should handle TDU at high settings then

Well i guess you could get tdu running on low details...if not its because of the processor... But Theres no point of just buying a new processor in your situation

Good advice buy E6300 it's much more powerfull than 4200+ and it's in the same price.

i can run with the graphic settings on high, anti aliasing at 4x and the HDR turned OFF...and i get about 30 fps, which ain't bad for graphics of this caliber

Im hoping that my pc will run it but after buying armed assault and only being able to get 25 fps in heavy going areas im not sure now due to large scale maps but who knows, all games dont play the same so fingers crossed untill then weirdblue

Dude, you'll be fine with that rig, I'd say full graphics at least 40-50 fps. I don't know, just a guess, but you can do pretty well.

Every C2D Motherboard I have priced here in this area and in all my suppliers were over 100 euros. I have got a quote with a discount on Ram , MOBO and CPU for around 650 euros (That was with a 20% discount because I am friends with the shop keeper and I used to work for him). The dual core 4200 is costing me less than 200 euros. So explain the logic in paying over 3 times the ammount of money just to upgrade my CPU? I see no sense in it. The 4200 will definately be better than my current 3700+ single core @ 2.4ghz and I dont do enough games playing to want to spend over 600 euros just for a CPU Update.

Yes I would need to upgrade the Motherboard and ram as well as the CPU if I wanted a C2D cause my ram isnt DDR 2.

3 reasons why I say no to a C2d upgrade yet

1) prices here in Ireland are too high
2) My Motherboard is socket 939 which isnt compatible with C2D
3) My ram isnt compatible with the C2D motherboards

Ive just got an AMD Arhlon 64 X2 4800+ ordered. So hopefully when TDU comes out I will get good results with the CPU Upgrade. Then Ill be buying an Nvidia 8800GTS in a few weeks so TDU should be good at high settings

4800+ cost 100Eruos more than E6300 in Poland. Motherboard cots here less than 100Euros Im talkin about mother board that give you OC about 3GHz. But for 4800+ price youn can buy E6600 that is much better than 5000+.

It looks like you havent read my signature and my previous posts before posting this.

First of all I was going to buy an e6400 but changed my mind because of the following reasons.

1) I would have to buy a new Motherboard with SLI to use my 2 graphics cards in it which will cost more than 100 euros
2) I would also have to buy new Ram because all C2D motherboards require no less than DDR 2 ram. My ram is standard DDR 400
3) This is IRELAND which it seems 95% of you guys on this forum dont understand that Computer parts are not only very expensive but its not easy to get the part one is looking for

It took me 3 months to track down the motherboard I have now , It took me 6 months to get my steering wheel imported to Ireland and it cost me just over 3,000 euros to build my current computer.

Further more I enquired about the price of buying DDR 2 Ram , E6400 and Motherboard (THe type I require) and it would cost me no less than 650 euros.

So now tell me why I am an AMD fanboy and why You guys feel it neccesary to flame me when I just plainly want to save money and buy just the CPU?

No need for a quad CPU yet, because not many PC games will be using quad setups for at least 3-4 years, but you should have waited another 4 years, until Quad CPU's have lost a lot of high temperatures and high power needs, while being faster.

No, I seriously doubt a 9200SE could run any game made in recent years at more than a slideshow pace. An upgrade to a 6600GT ot 7600GS (I'm assuming AGP) would help it run better.

There isn´t a link yet, neither is the client available (it´s going to be a new one).

The registration will start at 22.January, same day the open beta is supposed to start.
