I Would add a eatheir a RS focus or for usa the svt focus

hmmmmmm to be honest hatch backs are pretty poor... but if i had to chose id chose the Civic Type R.Clio V6 and BMW Z3M Z4M 130I and ermm i suppose the fastest car on earth... a peugeot 106. i just hope halfords isnt included cause then we would be seeing bits of tin metal driving round the map.... lolblue:

You say name ONE car, yet you name more than one and so does everyone else. These things never work out as planned :wink2:
Hehe, keeping with tradition:
Honda Civic Type R (the model before the current one!)
Peugeot 206 GTI 180
in my opinon hactchbacks arent made for speed. its all about acceleration and how nimbial (sound it out cuz i know i dint spell it rite lol) they are
Go focus RS
Crazed_Dodgem
11-01-2007, 21:08
we currently have (hatch wise)
Audi A3
VW golf R32
Alfa Brera
Alfa GT
and i would like to have
Vauxhall Astra VXR
Ford Fiesta ST
MG ZR
Honda Civic type R (have been in one of these, very quick!)
Mazda 3
and thats about it
Weel Alfa's aren't really hacbacks but coupes so there are just two real hatchbacks. It would be nice to se new Fiat Brato Abarth, Ford Focus ST, Seat Leon Cupra....

How about adding the New Audi S3 in place of the current A3 3.2??
Mine's on order so would be cool to get to 'virtually' drive it first!!! :)

How about a Dodge Caliber SRT4, it's a Hatchback/micro SUV thing, and it will out run all the above cars I THINK, but I dont know. Whats the fastest out of the above.
Crazed_Dodgem

probably the civic type R

not a hatchback!

OK stats considering how much power it's got. Don't look half bad either.
Here's the Calibers stats from Car and Driver:
2007 DODGE CALIBER SRT4
Vehicle type: front-engine, front-wheel-drive, 5-passenger, 5-door wagon
Estimated base price: $22,000
Engine type: turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 16-valve inline-4, aluminum block and head, port fuel injection
Displacement: 144 cu in, 2360cc
Power (SAE net): 300 bhp @ 6000 rpm
Torque (SAE net): 260 lb-ft @ 2000 rpm
Transmission: 6-speed manual
Wheelbase: 103.7 in
Length/width/height: 173.8/68.8/59.9 in
Curb weight: 3200 lb
Performance ratings (C/D est):
Zero to 60 mph: 5.5 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 14.1 sec
Projected fuel economy (mfr’s est):

Well, turns out that the Caliber is better. Too bad it FWD or I'd buy one.

thing is that the caliber isnt really a hatchback, its not small...
its more of an SUV, i mean look at the ground clearance on it!
i'd put it into the same size group as the ssanyang rodius *awaits cringes from everyone who knows how ugly it is*
moparman440

Good point, would look better if it was lowered though. I love the looks of the Caliber.
I looked at that chinese thing, I about threw up.

the fastest is not the Civic type R.. it would be the Clio V6... the V6 does 160mph or 165 dont know...

me too, i think i prefer it to the Range Rover sport to be honest, its agressive looking, and the hoodscoop actually looks quite good

Range Rover's are cool. I would take a Jeep Grand Cherokee over it though. faster 0-60.
Crazed_Dodgem

i think i would choose the range rover sport over the cherokee, and im not sure whether the cherokee could out-do a tank either...

I'd like to see the Focus ST and the Leon Cupra R

The original Civic Type R (EK9) was a far better car than that thing they released over here. They sanitised it for the European market and took out some of the stuff that would have made it a proper type R!
Crazed_Dodgem
12-01-2007, 00:45
the new one isnt out yet though, is it (not the type R atleast)

yes the new one looks like awsomeness and is a 2008 release

Not sure on the type R release here, but the regular civic has been out for 12 months or more.

oh i knew about the regular one.
i think the regular one is very ugly, but i like the type R, and its all because of the stupid perspex bit that links bothe headlamps... ewwness
the civic is a strange beast, has to be said, also, americans dont get our civic, they get saloons only (looking at wikipedia)

Civic Type R all the way. Could possibly create a new class called Sport or something.
I also like the focus RS.
Another good car I would LOVE to see in game, is the classic Escort Mexico RS.

Those Figures are 99% Accurate
And i Know it will Beat a Civic Type R
What Those Figures Dont tell you is Over What Range The Power/Torque Lasts For.
Dont Forget The Civic Type R Has Around the Same LB/FT of Torque...
There is a Little Saying......"Horsepower Wins Arguments....Torque Wins Races"
Plus The Little 182 probably weights around 300-350Kg Less mdr1

ok ill put it this way
civic type r 0 - 60 = 6.8sec
182 clio 0 - 60 = 7.1sec (according to ur figures)
now i know my tdi does it in quicker than a civic and i know a clio is the same as me. so i am telling u those numbers are wrong lol
and trust torque wins races ;) and shamefully it eats tyres 400nm and i can light up 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with traction control on lol

Yeah, the Coupe 20v turbo is fast for the age. 0-60 - 6.5secs top end 155mph
Also has anyone seen the new Fiat Bravo. omg it look sooo sweet. proper italian design.
renault 5 girdini (3L v6) or a lotus sunbeam (comes standard with twin 40's)
apart from the lancia these are the first two cars that cant be ruined by ned's or chavs

20v T Would Be Nice...But MY GOD does it Torque Steer When The Turbo Kicks In
Won't have any of that Jap cr*p lol, I'm stupidly into VAG cars so for me I'd have a Mk1 Golf GTI, VW Golf Rallye, Audi S2 and Audi Sport Quattro.
Plus I wouldn't mind the Clio V6, Megane 225 or Polo G40. I wouldn't stoop so low to suggest something branded by the PSA group lol.
But if there ever were Jap hatches in the game I'd say the Mazda 323 GTR, Mugen DC5 or perhaps Toyota Starlet Turbo.
