i cant connect to the server or see any other players online

for the past 2 days its been saying the server is down...

so is the server down? is it my connection?

I don't think it's your connection - I haven't been able to connect all day either.

Maybe the servers are down for maintenance or something???

i can not get on to a server either...i tried help out my dad by selling him a ferrari enzo for $1,000, but when i cam around to signing in on my dad's, the servers went down and some one brought the car

I've had trouble for the last 2 weeks, sometimes afetr about twen times I give up, other times its first time. :mad: Almighty moderators please help :cry:

Guys, is there any official word on this?

Its been doing this since just afer xmas for me...

After 4 tries yesterday, I managed to get on. But today it just wouldn't happen.

i havn't really tried playing the game for a week until yesterday. Its really getting to me now...

You pay 'x' amount for these DLC's all the time being peed off that your having to pay for what you thought was ALREADY IN the game - but you try to justify it to yourself thinking that :atari: may be putting it to use in monitoring and fixing the servers (which have ALWAYS been a problem on this game) - but no...

Yes, some people are not affected by this - but WAKE UP :atari: !! Theres quite a few that are!! Sort it out before you really lose your fans! :mad:

servers are navailable for me too. Also its very annoying when a lot of the time when i try to connect to this forum I get a messege saying that the server is too busy.

Has anyone actually tried raising a technical support request via the website?

- Containing useful information such as your location, time and date you tried to connect and how many times you have tried.

it kinda sucks for us poor *******s that ONLY have TDU for our xbox... i basically have nothing to do (since ive done all the singleplayer stuff) so im paying for live for no reason right now it feels like...

i occassionally have server issues, however i've been playing christmas games (LSW2: TOT, BF2: MC, RB6: V) so i havent really suffered.

speaking of rainbow, i was playing with diablo a while ago... HE'S A SODDING SPAWN KILLER! eekblue: only joking, i wouldnt mind so much if i hadnt been the victim of spawn camping 5 minuites prior, in the end me and reece hid in a closet, waiting for them to try and get in, clever us stood against the doors so they couldnt get though :p

im always having trouble. i get on after bout 5 tries but sumtimes i give up after 10. this sucks

yeah ive not been able to get on.... i was on a couple hours ago... but now it says tdu servers AVAILABLE.... but yet cant see no players or nothing,its pathetic

Last night i tryed for over 45minutes 2 connect 2 the servers,finally got in,but trade did not work leaderboards would not work and after 5 minutes the game frooze(In the Leaderboardmenu)Then the disc was unreadable!THX Eden/Atari for making the crappiest onlinegame ever!!!Itīs a f***ing joke! dark:

And 2 all the ones that says itīs working for u(Good for u)Still not working here!

I have had official word from Atari Support after submitting a support request, and it's kinda useless, but here's the reply i had:

Dear Steve

The servers are up and running but we are aware of difficulties that some
players are experiencing getting online. This is most probably owed to the
ever increasing number of gamers joining TDU online. The developers are
currently working on optimizing the servers.

We have found, though, that rebooting the console often helps, you can try
that in the meantime.

For up-to-date news, hints and tips, to meet other TDU players and organize
challenges or cruises around the island, please register to the TDU official
UK forum http://forums.eu.atari.com/forumdisplay.php?f=280

Thought i would post this as some people have been after word from Atari on this matter.

Though their suggestion of rebooting the console does NOTHING for me, other than waste time rebooting the console!

I hope they sort this soon since I wanna get on and race my mate (who incidentally can get on NO problems AT ALL!) :mad:

This simple matter of fact with regard to this issue is that the TDU servers simply can not deal with the numbers logging onto them. The only way around it is to continually reboot the console till you get on.

I'm not saying this is a good thing as I personally have to reboot anything from once to 20 times.

But i do eventually get on.

same here, but try and get on the servers at an obscure time, then just leave the console on til u wanna play (i do it a bit, not too often though, overheating is a risk)

I can connect to XBOX Live but not TDU for the past 3 days.

so im paying for live for no reason right now it feels like...

It sucks having to pay to use online racing or any other type of online games anyway. I mean in the first place were paying to have our internet (Which is 40 euros on top of having no other choice but to pay for my TV channels so I can have high speed internet). I can play my favourite PC racing game without paying any other costs to anyone for it.

The next update is going to be the end of all problems...Famous last words. Seriously I have the utmost confidence that Atari will pull through and sort the little niggling problems in what is otherwise a great game. 10sur10

I see a lot of people in my friends list playing in freeride, so the servers aren't down. I haven't tried yet, i'm playing COD3 now tonguegre :nuts:

O.k All this is what works for me about 90% of the time ...

If you start TDU & find that you are not connected to the TDU server then do the following .

Press your
Green Lit X Button
now
press x (Blue button)
Log out of your persona.
Now press The
Green Lit X button again to close the Blade
Press A (Green button) To acknowledge to TDU that you have logged out of your persona.
NOW Hit the
Green Lit X button Log back into your Persona & then Go back to the TDU screen & press Press A (Green button) This will then try to reconnect you to the TDU server without you having to re-boot your Xbox which isn't a good idea to keep doing !
